MLS Soccer Saturday Picks

Toronto FC vs Vancouver Whitecaps

Matchup Information

• Venue & Location: BMO Field (Toronto, Canada)
• Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2023
• Kick Off: 7:30pm Eastern

The Pick: Toronto/Vancouver Draw (+270) Bovada

Toronto is coming off an impressive 3-1 win at home against the Philadelphia Union. However, they are in last place in the Eastern Conference and have nothing left to play for.

The Vancouver Whitecaps are in the exact opposite situation.

Vancouver sits in 6th place in the Western Conference, just 3 points out of 2nd place, and 3 points away from missing the playoffs. The race is on.

Vancouver needs three points here, but I think they only come away with one.

The Whitecaps are 2-0-1 in their L3 MLS matches, all on the road. They're unbeaten and have outscored their hosts 5-3 in those games.

Toronto is 4-3-6 at home this year, so I'm willing to bet on them to draw here again. Despite their season being over, they will play with heart against another Canadien team at home.

Let's cash a +270 when this one finishes 1-1.

FC Dallas vs Seattle Sounders

Matchup Information

• Venue & Location: Toyota Stadium (Frisco, TX)
• Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2023
• Kick Off: 8:30pm Eastern

The Pick: Sounders Draw No Bet (+128) Bovada

FC Dallas is on the cusp of making the playoffs, as they currently sit in 9th, qualifying for a Wild Card match. However they are a full three points out of securing a real spot in the post season.

The Sounders sit in 2nd in the West, and are 7 points behind St. Louis City SC for 1st place. Multiple teams are right on their tail, as just 3 points separate 2nd through 6th place.

This is a game both teams want to win, and I'll take the Sounders on Draw No Bet line for plus money. They are in better form and are simply the better team.

These teams drew in Seattle back in July, and today I don't think the Sounders will let three points escape them. In their L4 road MLS matches, the Sounders are 2-1-1, and I see them overpowering FC Dallas tonight.

Colorado Rapids vs New England Revolution

Matchup Information

• Venue & Location: Dick's Sporting Goods Park (Commerce City, CO)
• Date: Saturday, September 16th, 2023
• Kick Off: 9:30pm Eastern

The Pick: NE Revolution Draw No Bet (+163) Bovada

The Revolution are 2nd in the Eastern Conference, and have three teams within 3 points behind them. They cannot afford to drop a game at all.

Colorado is dead last in the West, and certainly shouldn't be favored by this much in this contest.

The Rapids have been shutout in 3 straight games, losing 2-0, 3-0, and 4-0, all on the road. In their L3 at home, they have had 2 scoreless draws and a 2-1 victory.

The Revolution are 1-0-2 in their L3 games, coming off a 1-1 draw on the road.

Tonight in Colorado, I trust them to handle business and gain three points in the playoff races.
