The two best teams in the English Premier League battle for some very crucial points on Sunday morning in a standalone match. If I had to guess, all eyes of the soccer world will be on Etihad Stadium as Manchester City hosts Arsenal. These teams are separated by just six points on the EPL table, and a win for the hosts would cut that down to three with just five matches remaining (six for City). Can they take down the Gunners and put some extra pressure on Arsenal for the final few matches of this season? Let's check in with our EPL experts and look at their favorite picks.

Declan Rice and Arsenal need any sort of points against Manchester City on the road this Sunday

These teams have played twice this season, once in the English Premier League, and once in the Carabao Cup. Most recently in the Carabao Cup Final, Manchester City defeated Arsenal by a score of 2-0. Now, they only managed to produce two shots on frame on 10 overall and three corner kicks, but they both ended up in the back of the net, and City controlled 62% of possession.

Earlier in the EPL season, at Emirates Stadium, we saw a 1-1 draw. Erling Haaland got the scoring started less than 10 minutes into the match, but Arsenal still battled. It took them until stoppage time to find an equalizer, but Gabriel Martinelli saved them some points by finding a goal in the 90'+3′ minute. Will it take more last minute heroics to beat Manchester City at home?

This match means plenty to both sides, but I think City produces all the intangibles, while all the pressure is on Arsenal. The Gunners could essentially seal the EPL Title with a win. Obviously, they wouldn't do so mathematically, but extending their lead on City to nine points with less than six matches remaining puts them in a very good spot. However this team has had chances to put City away and have not done so. They haven't given me much confidence recently.

You also need to consider the fact that Manchester City have nothing else to play for this season besides the EPL Title. They are out of the Champions League, they already won the Carabao Cup, and they face a lower league side (Southhampton) in the FA Cup Semifinals in a couple of weeks. Their full focus will be on taking down the Gunners this weekend, closing the gap in the EPL race, and settling themselves up for success to go at the top dawg. I certainly think they have it in them. This team is too talented and too deep not to make a late title run.

Now for Arsenal, they might be more focused on the Champions League. They are down to the semifinals, and face a tough Atlético Madrid team in a couple of weeks. Do they want this win? Sure. But overall I see them being slightly more concerned with winning their first UCL title in club history. They were the runner ups back in 2006, but two decades later they have a legit shot at winning the whole tournament. Perhaps their focus is split, which could lead to them dropping this crucial match on the road in Manchester.

Prediction: Manchester City Wins 1-0 (+600)
