We have moved into the quarterfinals and have one heck of a matchup on our hands. Team Sweden will take on Team USA today for a chance to more on to the final four. This will be a solid matchup as both teams are talented.
USA swept out of group staging with three straight wins. They look just as dominate as Team Canada, the favorite to win gold. This will be USA's biggest test of the Olympics vs. Sweden and they'll be ready.
Brady and Matthew Tkachuk lead team this on the ice and from the PR side (lol). These two brothers want to win for their country bad and have a sick group around them. Jack Eichel, Jack Hughes and Auston Matthews have all been stepping up.
Goalie Connor Hellebuyck will most likely get the start. He won both of his two starts in the group staging comfortably, only allowing one goal in each game. Sweden has a lot of offensive talent so he will need to be ready.

Sweden will try and play spoiler to USA run for gold

Team Sweden forward Lucas Raymond celebrates scoring a goal with teammates vs. Latvia.
Team Sweden finds themselves right where they want to be. This team is stacked on both offense and defense, poses what could be a bad threat to opponents. Sweden looked great today vs. Latvia that could've been a nice warm up.
Sweden beat USA in the four nations tournament last year which is big. It's been a year, but don't think the Sweds forgot about it. It was definitely the biggest win for them of the tournament even though they didn't make the finals.
They can only hope their defense will be good enough to slow down USA. Strap in folks because it's about to get real up in here. Let's check out the odds and get into the Sweden vs. USA picks.

Another tough matchup between two really talented teams. We're going with the total under six and a half goals because we should be seeing another chess match. Two teams who are both good and don't want to be the one to make the mistake.
This is going to be USA's toughest matchup, but they'll be ready. I think they win this game even though it's probably going to be very close. Taking Sweden on the puck line could be a very sneaky play because as much as I hate to admit it, but this game could go to overtime.
The playmakers for both teams are going to need to be firing. Give me Jack Eichel to record 3 or more shots on goal for USA and William Nylander for 3 or more for Sweden. Both of these guys have been huge parts of their team's offense and firing the puck.
