Welcome to the quarterfinals where it's time to get real in plain English! Team Czechia survived their first round of the knockout rounds and will now take on Team Canada. Canada has won the last six meetings between the two, including the group stages game.
This Canada team is just a bunch of freaks on nature headed to the hall of fame all on one team. You start with cemented legend Sidney Crosby, next is Connor McDavid to Nathan MacKinnon and I could keep going. Watching them play is like watching NHL26 in OLED.
Domination has been the tune of the group staging for Canada. They had a goal differential of 20-3 and scored ten goals vs. France. It was almost surprising they allowed two vs. France as well. Anyways, Connor McDavid has 9 points in 9 periods, but who's counting.
Goalie Jordan Binnington has been solid and will most likely get the nod. He had a 26 save shutout vs. Czechia in the group staging. Honestly, watch as much of this team as you can because every second that they play together is history in the making.

Czechia will look for revenge in the knockout round vs. Canada

Team Czechia forward Martin Necas takes the puck into the offensive zone.
It's going to be a good game today. Czechia knew they'd have to go through Canada once they dropped they groupings, so they should be ready for this. I say it like it's going to be easy – pstttt, it's going to take a miracle for them to stop Canada.
You have to love guys like David Pastrnak and Martin Necas leading this squad. They both have been playing fantastic for their countries. That is all the team can ask for is their top performers to go out there and make plays and they're doing just that.
History is not on the side of Czechia today. Can they prove the world wrong and pull off the upset of a century? Let's check out the odds and get into the Czechia vs. Canada picks.

We should see a much more reserved game from both teams. I know Czechia is going to bring all they have after a comment by Martin Necas. His comment was just that they saved their energy for the knockout rounds, but I don't see that mattering.
It's going to be a chess match today. Czechia is going to have the harder task with containing the Canada offense while still trying to score the puck. We should see plenty of offense from Canada, but they'll be reserved as well. No need to try and win 10-0 when they get up 2 or 3 to nothing.
I do like for Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid to get 2 or more points each. Both guys are the heart and soul of this team and have been in the thick of everything. Canada could score only two goals and I bet these guys are in on both.
