We head to Minnesota for Game 3 between the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild. The series is tied up at one game apiece after Dallas took Game 2 by a score of 4-2. Let's recap last game and get into Game 3.
It was a back-and-forth game for the most part. The Stars struck first with a goal by forward Wyatt Johnston nine minutes into the first period. About two and a half minutes later, Wild defenseman Brock Faber scored and tied the game 1-1.
Dallas was out shot in the first two periods 22-16. In the second period, there was only one goal, and it came from Dallas. Four minutes into the period, forward Matt Duchene scored a power play goal to make it 2-1.
The third period was pretty good. Seven minutes in, the Stars scored their third goal, and it came from Jason Robertson. And again, about two and a half minutes later, Brock Faber scored his second goal of the game to bring the score to 3-2 Dallas.
Minnesota pulled the goalie at the end and lost to an empty net off a bad bounce. Defenseman Quinn Hughes thought the puck was going to miss the net and it turned right in. Wyatt Johnston was credited with his second goal of the game and the game was final.

As much as I like the Wild, this is a great spot for the Stars. They come in needing one game and they're going to ride last games momentum. Dallas is a great road team, and I think they come in right away and get that game back.
It's almost back against the wall in a way because you lose your home ice advantage if you lose both these games. It's a must win for the Stars and this is a great spot for them to get it done on the road. Oetty looked great last game and needs to follow it up with another.
I like for Wyatt Johnston to get his 3 or more shots on goal with a ladder up to 4. He has been playing out of his mind with 6 shots on goal last game and 4 shots on goal in Game 1. Johnston is also coming off a two-goal game, so confidence is high.
Another play I like is Matt Boldy to get 4 or more shots on goal. He's just like Johnston – playing completely out of his mind with 13 shots on goal over the first two games. Boldy is having a career year and is going to continue to produce.
