Two of the newer teams in the league in regard to rebuilds. The San Jose Sharks will take on the Utah Mammoth at the Delta Center. Both teams have young roster who are really in their second year together.
San Jose is still looking for their first win with a 0-1-2 start. They had a rough overtime loss where they couldn't seal the game on an empty net. Then they gave up a fluke goal to tie the game vs. the Knights and lose the game in OT.
The Sharks come into this game off a bad loss to the Canes on Tuesday. This young squad features guys like Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith. They also have veteran leadership from guys like Tyler Toffoli and now Jeff Skinner.
Goaltending is a little rough around these parts. The Sharks picked up Alex Nedeljkovic from the Penguins, but he is off to an 0-1-1 start with a 4.46 GAA and .878 GAA. Back up Yaroslav Askarov is slated to get the start, and he is 0-0-1 with a 6.89 GAA and .841 save percentage.

Mammoth look to get their second win at home this season

Utah Mammoth forward Dylan Guenther celebrates after scoring a goal.
The Mammoth are settling in with their now established name. They are 2-2-0 to start the season and come into this game off a nice win Wednesday vs. the Flames. Second home game for the Mammoth and they'll be trying to make it 2-0 at home.
Their offense needs to wake up. They rank in the bottom of the league for goals scored and shooting percentage. Utah is also struggling on the power play, only converting 6% of the time. Granted, the season has just started so plenty of time to improve.
One thing they're doing well is playing defense. The Mammoth rank in the top 5 of the league for both goals allowed and shots on goal allowed. They're killing off 81% of their penalties while committing about five and a half penalties per game.
Goalie Karel Vejmelka is expected to start. He is off to a 2-1-0 start with a nice 1.67 GAA and a .929 save percentage. If he can keep this play up, the Mammoth have as good a chance as anyone. Let's check out the odds and get into the Sharks vs. Mammoth picks.

Games like these can be fun ones. I like both these teams personally and think they're fun to watch and bet on. We should see a close game here and possibly a high scoring one at that.
I think the Sharks compete in this game. Utah is going to be a good home team with an electric crowd, but the Sharks should keep it close. San Jose has no defense, so they'll be relying heavily on their offense.
Will Smith has been firing the puck and we're going to take him for 3 or more shots on goal. He has hit the number in his last two game and had 2 the previous game. Smith is an upcoming shooter who has a really bright future and will be heavily involved this year.
Another play I like is Dylan Guenther to get 3 or more shots on goal. He's hit in his last three out of four game, with a 7-shot performance in there. Guenther came in hot last year and is now looked at as a big-time shooter and the kid can score.
