See Picks & Statistics For The GameHere we are, we’ve made it to game 82 of the season. The Edmonton Oilers (49-25-6) will finish their regular season against the Colorado Avalanche (49-25-7). Both teams have secured their spots in the playoffs.
The Oilers will be playing the 2nd game of a back-to-back. They play well on the road though, with a 21-16-2 record. Edmonton is coming into this game 6-2-2 in their last 10 games as well.
Connor McDavid is having another record setting year. He just became the 4th player in NHL history to record 100 assists in a season. This comes after he put up 150+ points last season.
Edmonton will look to stay focused and get a win in this game to carry the momentum into the playoffs. They will play the Vegas Golden Knights in the 1st round which will be a tough task.
Goalie Stuart Skinner is expected to get the start in net. He is having a great year with a 36-15-5 record. He ranks 3rd for the most wins by a goalie this season. Skinner also has a 2.57 GAA and a .907 save percentage.
Colorado comes into this game on a 2-game losing streak and are 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. This is the wrong time to be losing your mojo, but the Avs will be home.
At home this season, the Avalanche are 30-9-1, which is crazy to think that they may end with single digit losses. One reason for this is that they have a powerhouse for an offense.
On offense, they rank in the top of the league for most categories. That includes leading the league in goals scored per game with 3.67 goal.
The Avalanche do need to be careful on defense. They allow 3 goals per game and 30 shots on goal. Both stats rank in the middle of the league, which is low for them.
Goalie Alexander Georgiev is expected to get the start. He has a record of 38-18-5, which leads the league for wins. His GAA is 3.02 GAA and .907 save percentage are also very good.
Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

We’re going to take the home team here. Not only on they fantastic at home, but it makes for a great bounce back spot for them. Edmonton coming in on the back-to-back could lead them to play back.
Since it’s the last game of the season, there is a chance both teams take it easy. I really don’t think that happens though – they’re going to play.
Edmonton won the last game they played only 2 weeks ago by a score of 6-2. Back at home, this is a great spot for Colorado to turn it around. We’re going to pay the juice man a little here, but give me the moneyline.
Nugget: take Mackinnon for an anytime goal scorer. He’s due for a bounce back game and this is the right game.
