We head to Montreal tonight for game six between the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens. The Canadiens won game five in Buffalo by a score of 6-3. It would be the first time since 2021 that Montreal would reach the conference finals.
It was exciting right away in game five with an action packed first period. The Sabres struck first with a goal by Jason Zucker just two minutes into the game. Canadiens forward Cole Caufield tied it up four and half minutes later. There were three more goals and the Sabres led 3-2 at the end of the period.
Once the second period came, it was all Montreal. They tied the game up at 3 apiece with a goal by Josh Anderson eight minutes into the period. Eight minutes later, they took the lead after Jake Evans scored a goal. With a few minutes left in the second, Nick Suzuki scored a powerplay goal to make it 5-3.
The third period was very slow and not much action. Rookie Ivan Demidov scored a power play goal three and half minutes into the period and that was it. The game ended 6-3 and we head back to Montreal for tonight's decisive game six.

It's been a great series and this game is huge. Both teams are going to play tight, and this should be a close game. I'm taking the under for those reasons and they scored so many goals last game. Montreal could end this series tonight and I think they're going to.
The under should be a solid play here. We're getting decent value for a 6.5 total as well. I think we see a low scoring game that goes to overtime. Goaltending is going to need to be on top of things tonight which I see from adjustments they'll make from last game.
Give me Jakub Dobes for under his saves line. It should come out in the high 20's and I think he covers this. Buffalo had only 15 shots through the first two periods of game five then proceeded to put up 20 shots on goal in the third. Montreal can't let this happen again will make the adjustment to do so.
I have to also ride with the hot hand in Cole Caufield to score a goal. The 50-goal scorer from the regular season has scored in his last three games and this one's the most important. We have to sprinkle the anytime goal here.
