For the other New York team, the Rangers have been insane this year. They are in 1st place of their division and are 3rd in the Eastern Conference.

The Rangers offense is middle of the league in most stats, but their defense has been great. They rank in the top 10 of the league for goals and shots on goal allowed per game with great penalty kill rate.

Goalie Igor Shesterkin is having a Vezina type season. He has a record of 28-14-2 with a 2.60 GAA and a .912 save percentage. He has a slow start this season but got hot and has continued to be. Shesterkin has won his last 2 games vs the Isles and is 3-3 in his last 6 games.

As good as both goalies are, they tend to be leaky. Both teams also love playing each other so they come out screaming on offense. These are just 2 reasons that I lean the over and another is the last 3 games have gone over.

For Sorokin, he's going to get peppered. The Islanders are good to let him allow 2-3 just due to lack of help as a problem they've had this season. I could also see Sorokin letting in an easy one or two.

Before Shesterkin's last 2 wins, the Islanders beat him 4 times, so they have their experience. I don't know how many, but the Islanders will be good to contribute 1-2 goals to the total.

It's a low total with good value just like the Bruins game that we just smacked. Expect a good game as both teams are going to be hungry for a win.
