Heading to the Western Conference for this matchup. The Nashville Predators head north to take on the Edmonton Oilers. These two teams last played in January, and the Predators snuck away with a 4-3 win in overtime.
Edmonton is 32-26-9 this season and third in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a two-game losing streak after another loss to the Blues in overtime. The Oilers are 4-5-1 in their last ten games and 16-11-4 at home this year.
Some of the guys on this team straight eat vs. the Preds. Leon Draisaitl historically owns this team when they play. Connor McDavid also thrives vs. them, with a hat trick in the first game they played this season.
We all know how lethal the offense is on this team. Their biggest question mark for years has always been their goaltending. They went ahead and traded starter Stuart Skinner to the Pens for goalie Tristan Jarry with the same results. Probably should've kept Skinner.
Goalie Tristan Jarry is expected to get the start tonight. He is 16-9-2 this season with a 3.07 GAA and a .883 save percentage. The Oilers keep the shot count down, so Jarry needs to keep the puck out of the net with what he faces.

Nashville only three points out of a wild card spot

Predators defenseman Roman Josi takes a shot on net while Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard helps block the net.
The Predators are 29-27-9 this year and fifth in the Central Division. They come into this game off a loss to the Canucks in a shootout on Thursday. Nashville is 3-4-3 in their last ten games and 12-14-6 on the road.
They're going to have their work cut out for them tonight. The Preds sit only three points out of a wild card spot, so they are very much in the picture. Getting a wild card spot is their only hope as the top three seeds in the division are unreachable.
Nashville's offense ranks okay in the league being twentieth in goals scored and fourteenth in shots on goal per game. I say it like that because they're not the best, but also not the worst. The Preds also have the tenth best power play in the league.
Defense is a problem. They do rank towards the bottom of the league for goals allowed and shots on goal allowed per game. In net, we're expected to see Juuse Saros. He is 23-19-7 this season with a 3.02 GAA and a .893 save percentage.

Give me the Oilers to crush tonight. They're in need of a win badly and tonight at home vs. the Preds is a great spot for them. Edmonton also has the chance to tie for the second seed with a win and Anaheim loss.
There is no room for error now and Connor McDavid knows that. I think this offense comes out and lays a pounding. They most definitely haven't forgot the loss from last game, so this is a good get back spot.
I like for Leon Draisaitl to get 4 or more shots on goal for plus money. Draisaitl is a Nashville killer, hitting in his last two out of three games. He has also scored in both games this season, so sprinkling the anytime goal is definitely happening.
