We have a battle out of the Pacific Division to cap off today's slate. The Vegas Golden Knights will play the Edmonton Oilers tonight at Rogers Place. These two just played each other last week and the Oilers won 4-3 in overtime.
Vegas is 34-26-16 this season and are third in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a two-game winning streak after another win over the Flames. The Knights are 4-4-2 in their last ten games, 16-14-7 on the road and 12-5-5 in divisional games.
This game is big because the Knights are only three points behind both the Oilers and the Ducks who are tied for first. These three teams will make up the first three seeds from the division, so we'll see how it falls. The Ducks have a game in hand over the Knights and Oilers.
All of the overtime losses caught up to the Knights. If they won even half of those sixteen games, they'd be in first with a decent lead. All of those overtime losses and not finishing games can come back to haunt you.
Goalie Adin Hill is expected to get the start. He is 10-9-5 this season with a 2.81 GAA and a .868 save percentage. Hill missed just about three months in the beginning of the season but returned in a split role with Akira Schmid.

Edmonton will look to stay on fire and make it six in a row

Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard and forward Matt Savoie celebrate after scoring a goal.
The Oilers are 39-28-9 this year and second in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on fire, winning their last five straight. Edmonton is 7-2-1 in their last ten games, 21-13-4 at home and 14-5-3 in divisional games.
This team is getting hot at the right time. With just six games left in the season, this is when you want to get momentum. They're doing all this without one of their biggest weapons, Leon Draisaitl, who is on the LTIR with a lower body injury.
There is no shortage of offense here, even without Draisaitl. They have the best power play in the league and know how to score the puck. Their defense can be questionable but can get the job done if they help their goaltender out.
In net, we're expected to see Connor Ingram. He is 14-8-2 this season with a 2.48 GAA and a .898 save percentage. Let's check out the odds and get into the Knights vs. Oilers picks.

It's really hard to go against the Oilers right now and at home. They've been great in Rogers Place and Vegas struggles more on the road vs. at home. Edmonton also wants that first seed and winning every game is going to get them there.
I really think the Oilers have a chance to get back to the Finals. Regardless their seed, getting hot now can give them that momentum and they're doing just that. For another lean, I think the game goes over and we get a bit of a show.
Give me Adin Hill to get over his saves line. The line show come out around 26 saves and even though the Knights defense doesn't allow many shots, the Oilers are going to pepper him. Edmonton has the pedal to the floor right now and going to keep playing like that.
