It was a heck of a game one and man was it awesome. The Vegas Golden Knights took game one in Carolina vs. the Hurricanes on Tuesday night in an absolute barn burner. Carolina have their backs against the wall very early.
I know it was only one game, but this is the cup finals where no mistakes can be made. In game one, the Hurricanes wasted no time getting on the board. Forward Nikolaj Ehlers scored less than thirty seconds into the game. He followed it up with another one twelve minutes later.

A minute and a half later, Knights defense man Shea Theodore found the back of the net to make it a 2-1 game after the first period. The second period started just like the first with a goal in the first thirty seconds, but this time it was from Knights forward Ivan Barbashev. Four minutes later, William Karlsson gave Vegas a 3-2 lead.
Hurricanes forward Jordan Stall tied the game up with less than eight minutes left in the second. In the third, the Knights struck first and took a 4-3 lead with a goal by Brett Howden. Halfway through the period, Carolina tied it up with a goal by Shane Gostisbehere.
Then with three and half minutes left to play, Knights forward Tomas Hertl scored the game winning goal. It was an absolutely insane game from start to finish and we can only hope the rest of the series is this good.

Both goalies got worked last game, and I think we see it again. These offenses are so hyped up and absolutely buzzing right now, so we're taking the over here. We should get another banger like we did last game.
This series was dubbed as boring before it even started. I do lean with the Hurricanes getting their lick back and in bad way. Another reason why I'm taking the over because I think they score 4 to 5 goals themselves.
Vegas is cruising right now on offense, so there is no way they get shut out. I do think they get put in their place this game and held to 1 or 2 goals. Doing that math – that gives us good options for the over.
One guy I really like is Knights defenseman Shea Theodore. I like him for 2 or more points after coming off a 3-point game. He has been heavily involved, and his 2 or more blocked shots is a good look if not too juiced.
I like a lot of the guys on the Canes to get their shots. Stankoven, Jarvis and Ehlers to name a few. You can do a two teamer of any two for some nice plus chicken. I'll be sprinkling Nikolaj Ehlers to score a goal after his game one performance.
