We got a good one on our hand's ladies and gents. Tonight, the Los Angeles Kings will take on the Dallas Stars at the American Airlines Arena. These 2 teams just met at the beginning of the month and the Kings won 5-4 in a shootout.

Dallas is 37-19-2 so far this season and 2nd in the Central Division. They come into this game off a 6-4 loss to the Blue Jackets Tuesday night. The Stars are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and are 20-7-1 at home this season.

The Stars offense has been top notch this season. They rank 4th in goals scored and 5th in shots on goal per game. Their shooting percentage is 7th best in the league, but they have a mediocre power play for this offense, only converting 20% of the time.

Goalie Jake Oettinger will be expected in net. He is 27-13-2 this season with a 2.43 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Oettinger will look to have a better performance than last game they played.

LA has been playing well and are 31-17-8 this season. They are 3rd in the Pacific Division and 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. The Kings come into this game off a loss to the Canucks and are 12-14-5 on the road.

The Kings aren't the same team offensively as they were last year. They rank 18th in goals scored and 22nd in shots on goal allowed per game when last year they were in the top of the league. They are terrible on the power play with the 3rd worst percentage in the league.

Defensively they are still solid. They rank 4th best for goals allowed and 2nd best for shots on goal allowed per game. Their defensively special teams are much better as well, ranking 6th best on the penalty kill.

Goalie Darcy Kuemper is expected to start. He is 18-6-6 this season with a 2.21 GAA and a .917 save percentage. Kuemper did not play in their previous game, so he'll be new to the Stars. Let's check out the odds and get into the picks.

This Dallas team is good at home and the Kings stink on the road. I think this is a good bounce back spot for the Stars in front of the home crowd over a good team. They need to come out early and score to make the Kings uncomfortable right away.

Last game they played, there might as well not have been goaltenders, but I think we see a different defense from the Stars. Oettinger now has seen this squad once and I expect the Dallas coaches to make the adjustments to tighten the defense up.

For some props, I like Jason Robertson to record 3 or more shots on goal. He has hit this line in his last 7 games and just came off a 6-shot game. I also like Wyatt Johnston to record a point. Johnston has hit the mark his in last 4 games with 2 of the games being multi-point games.

The other thing I like is for Oettinger to record over his saves line. I'd expect his line to be around 28 saves, but he saw well over 30 shots last match and I think he sees it again, he just needs to save more this time!
