Goaltending has been a huge problem for New Jersey this season. It even got to the point that they traded for goalies Kaapo Kahkonen and Jake Allen at the deadline. Allen is the confirmed starter for tonight's game. He is 4-2 since joining the team.

Buffalo will look to get in the way of the Devils playoff push

The Sabres has high expectations at the beginning of the season, but they couldn't keep up with them. They're 6th in the Atlantic Division and are 8 points of out the 2nd Wild Card spot.

As the games tick away, the time is running out for the Sabres to make the playoff. They have 8 games left, so they will need to win roughly all of the games as the rest of the teams have games to play as well.

At home, the Sabres are only 17-18-1 and are coming off a 6-2 loss to the Senators. They're 5-5-0 in their last 10 games and will have their work cut out for them against the Devils.

Goalie Devon Levi is expected in net tonight for the Sabres. He has a record of 9-8-2 on the year with a 3.16 GAA and a .898 save percentage. Levi will try to do what he can to cool off the Devils tonight.
