Well, well, well…look what we have here. After a game one by the underdogs, they are now on the brink of elimination on the road tonight. The Montreal Canadiens have dropped the last three games vs. the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Canes will look to head to the finals tonight.
Game four was all Carolina from start to finish and did it in shutout fashion. The Hurricanes won this game 4-0 and got the beating started early. A power play goal was scored by forward Sebastion Aho fifteen minutes into the period to make it 1-0.

About a minute later, forward Jordan Staal scored to make it 2-0. Just less than two minutes later, forward Logan Stankoven made it a commanding 3-0 game for the Canes. From there, Carolina dominated the Canadiens defensively.
This was the second game in a row where the shot differential was massively in favor of the Hurricanes. The Habs had 18 shots on goal this game and only 12 shots on goal in game three. Last game they were able to score, but now Carolina has figured out how to shut the down.

Montreal will have to give it everything they have tonight

Hurricanes forward Jackson Blake and Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov get face to face after the whistle is blown.
It was a good start to the series for Montreal, but they've been nowhere to be found since. In games two and three, they found the back of the net and both games went to overtime. They showed some life. Game four though – felt like they may have thrown in the towel.
Playing in Carolina is going to be extremely tough with how hungry that fanbase is for a chance at the cup. Even though they took game one there, this is going to be a whole different atmosphere. The Canadiens have to find their offense if they don't want their season to end.
The defense needs to get back to supporting Dobes. It's a given that the Canes are going to score on him, but they need to help contain the chances they get. Last game the Habs couldn't help him in anyway and they cannot let that happen again. Let's check out the odds and get into the Canadiens vs. Hurricanes Game 5 picks.

To get right to the point – I think the Hurricanes advance tonight, but there is no value. I do think they continue to do what they have the last three games and that's make the Habs play their game. All three games went under, and I could see this being the lowest scoring one yet.
I like for the Canes to come out and get the lead as early as possible. Once they get that lead, they will tighten that defense and continue to kill the Canadiens shot count. They just need to play the same game they did the last two and they're going to play for a cup.
Goalie Freddy Andersen will get the start. He is 11-1 with a 1.44 GAA and 3 shutouts these playoffs. I like for Carolina to shut down the Montreal offense and Andersen to get under his saves line. The line needs to be set somewhere in the low 20's for this to be playable and I think it will be.
