We have an Eastern Conference battle tonight and I got you covered. The Montreal Canadians will take on the Washington Capitals at the Capital One Arena. These 2 teams last met back in the beginning of December and the Capitals won 4-2.

The Capitals have been one of the biggest surprises this season. They're 27-10-4 and are 1st in the Metro Division. Washington comes into this game off a win over the Canucks Tuesday night and they are also 6-2-2 in their last 10 games.

Playing at home has been more than fun for the Caps, with a 14-4-3 record so far. Talking about fun, how about that Alex Ovechkin guy? Watching him chance the record has been epic and historic.

Goalie Logan Thompson is expected in net, and he has been killer this season. He has a 17-2-2 record with a 2.31 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

The Canadians come into this game on a 2-game winning streak. This season they are 19-18-3 and 8-2-0 in their last 10 games. They are more than clicking right now and the boys are buzzing.

Montreal is only averaging 3 goals per game, which ranks 17th in the league. Part of the problem is the only average 25 shots on goal per game and that is worst in the league. They do shoot the puck well when the shoot, ranking 4th in shooting percentage.

This team is ok on defense though. They rank 5th to last in the league for goals scored and 18th in shots on goal allowed per game. The Habs commit a lot of penalties, but at least have a decent penalty kill to back it up, ranking 11th.

I have to go this way for not only value, but there's some good goal tending on our hands. I know it is only the 3rd start for Dobes, but he has looked great and so has Thompson.

In Dobes' 2 games, he only allowed 1 goal to the Avalanche and shut out the Panthers in a 34 save performance. He can easily turn it on against the Caps, as he's shown he can take on good teams.

Thompson is another one who has been great. With a 2.50 GAA, he will definitely be able to hold off the Habs offense that is already on the weaker side.

I like Alex Ovechkin to score a goal. It will probably come out around +150 and he has not scored in his last 2 games. Ovi has his eye on the record and his teammates do as well, so any chance they can get him the puck – they will.
