Another huge game from today's slate. The Boston Bruins will play the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena which the Jackets need to win. These two teams last played almost two weeks ago, and the Bruins won 4-3 in a shootout.
Boston is 43-27-10 this season and fifth in the Atlantic Division. They come into this game on a horrible five-game losing streak after another loss yesterday to the Lightning. The Bruins are 4-4-2 in their last ten games and 15-16-9 on the road.
Even though the losing streak, the Bruins have secured a wild card spot to make the playoffs. On the flip side, they could use a big bounce back here to get some momentum for the playoffs. Either way, they're in and that's all that matters right now.
It was a rough start to the season for the Bruins and then they turned it on. They started at the bottom of the division this season and worked all the way up and past rivals Florida and Toronto. This is going to be an interesting test vs. a desperate team.
Goalie Joonas Korpisalo is expected to get the start. He is 13-9-6 this season with a 3.19 GAA and a .892 save percentage. Swayman will get the rest after yesterdays start.

Columbus fighting for their lives to make the playoffs

The Blue Jackets are 40-28-12 this year and fourth in the Metro Division. They come into this game off a win over the Canadiens yesterday. Columbus is 3-6-1 in their last tend games and 20-11-8 at home this season.
It's due or die time for the Jackets. As of now, they can only get the third seed in the Metro as both wild card spots are unreachable. Columbus needs to win out and the Islanders and Flyers to both lose a game each.
They've battled all season this team. The Jackets aren't spectacular on paper, ranking seventeenth in goals scored and twenty second in power play conversion. Their defense is also not impressive on paper, ranking towards the bottom of the league for goals allowed and shots on goal allowed per game.

It should be a good game, but Columbus needs to play smart. I think we see them play a bit of a chess match and try not to make the mistake. The Jackets definitely have the better goalie to slow down the Bruins offense.
This score should definitely stay under. The Bruins are due for a bounce back, which I think we see here for a win, but also have been off. Between that and Greaves in net, it should keep the score down.
I like for Korpisalo to get over his saves line. The Bruins allow so many shots on net, and the Blue Jackets pepper the net with the sixth most shots on goal per game. The line should come out around 26-27 saves and the Bruins allow about 30 shots per game.
