What a crazy series it has been and it's all about the outcomes. Welcome to Game 4 between the Colorado Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights. Colorado is playing for their lives after a 5-3 loss in Game 3 and now down 3-0 in the series facing elimination.
It has been a shocker of a series to say the least. Last game, it started off much different but ended the same way. Colorado wasted no time to score and got on the board just a little after three minutes into the game with a goal from forward Gabriel Landeskog.

About three and a half minutes later, forward Nazem Kadri banged one home to make it a 2-0 score. Then, whole shorthanded, forward Jack Dury was able to get another one by Knights goalie Carter Hart. It took two games, but the Avs finally got to Hart….or so they thought.
Once the second period came, it was all Vegas. Captain Mark Stone scored a power play goal 19 seconds into the period and forward William Karlsson followed with another goal about four minutes later. Before the period was over, the Knights got another one from forward Keegan Kolesar to tie it at 3 apiece.
In the third, the Avalanche hit the Hart wall again. He saved all seven shots he faced, and the Knights got their fourth one from forward Tomas Hertl just over eight minutes into the period. This gave them the lead and the sealed the game with an empty netter from forward Brett Howdan.

Colorado needs to figure it out with their season on the line tonight

Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon holds his head down after the Knights score the empty netter in Game 3.
It's been a nightmare for the Avalanche. Even after taking a commanding lead in game three, they still couldn't stop the Knights. Vegas has shown that they can shut down this powerful Colorado offense and use their skill to beat their defense.
Defenseman Cale Makar returned for game three after missing the first two games. With the way the game started, you thought all of a sudden, he was the X factor, but no in the end. I'm not sure what it's going to take for them other than make a goaltender adjustment.
Goalie Scott Wedgewood has started all three games, and I think it's time to give Mackenzie Blackwood the start with the season on the line. Both goalies had great regular seasons and it's time for a change. Let's check out the odds and get into the Avalanche vs. Knights Game 4 picks.

You can never count this Colorado team out, so even though I lean Vegas at even money, I can't make it official. I do think they both play smart hockey and this goal count stays low. Blackwood should be just what they need even though it won't be enough.
Vegas could very easily be held to 2 or 3 goals, which I think happens. I also think this Colorado offense continues to struggle and doesn't get the job done, ultimately sending this total under and us to the cash counter. The President's Trophy curse is real man, sheesh.
Give me Carter Hart to get over his saves line. The Avalanche led the league in shots on goal per game in the regular season and their season is on the line. His line will probably be around 30 saves, and I think we see well over 35 shots tonight.
