The 4-2 Toronto Maple Leafs travel to Las Vegas to take on the 4-2 Golden Knights in a Monday Night showdown on the ice.

The Leafs have been fairly up and down to start the season but are still 4-2 and looking to make a statement in this game against a cruising Las Vegas team.

The Golden Knights have started very well, and have looked like they are going to be contenders this year if they can stay healthy.

They were bested by the Avs in their last game 3-2, but the Knights have looked fast, together and fluid on ice.

This should be a great matchup, so who is going to come out on top?

Prediction

The beginning of the NHL season has been a but of a crap shoot from a sides perspective, and I think that shows today with the odds listed.

All 6 NHL games tonight are very close on the money line or a pick 'em. The market is adjusting to lots of results and early season teams either over or underperforming.

I don't feel either team has a statistical advantage tonight and it should be a very tight game. I see value in the over.

The +122 is great value with the safety of the push at 7.

Both of these teams haven't hit their over as much as we have seen in previous years, but their offensive firepower can't be denied so I love to bet on a lot of goals tonight.

Smith has been absolutely rolling so far this season, hitting his shots in every game to start. I won't bore you with much more info than that.

I will always put my money on a guy who is hitting at a 100% rate.

William Nylander o2.5 SOGs (-150) Fanduel

So I paired Nylander with Evgeni Malkin over 2.5 SOGs from the Penguins for +150 value.

-150 value is too juiced for me to take straight but I love Nylander today.

He has been arguably the Leafs most consistent offensive threat, hitting his shots in 5 of 6 to start the season.

He has scored in 3 of 6 as well.

I love Nylander today to have a big game again.
