<p>The Maple Leafs and Lightning switch up locations and travel down to Tampa Bay for Game 3. The Lightning tied up the series in Game 2 with a 5-3 victory over the Leafs.</p>
<p>Victor Hedman was the star of the game with 4 points and a late 1st period goal that put the Lightning out front for good. Nikita Kucherov also came alive after a quiet Game 1. He scored for the first time in the series and also tallied 2 assists.</p>
<p>The Lighting had a much better power play in Game 2. They were shut down and went 0 for 5 in Game 1, but scored 3 times in 7 tries on Wednesday night.</p>
<p>The Lightning have shown that they can bounce back from an ugly loss, and they are right back in the series. We shift our focus now to the home ice advantage for Tampa over the next 2 games. They have an opportunity to jump out in front and make it difficult for the Leafs when the series heads back to Toronto.</p>

<h2 id="b35ju">Lightning’s Offense Coming Alive</h2>
<p>The Tampa Bay Lightning showed big improvements to their offensive game on Wednesday night. They didn’t look like a team that was shut out the game prior.</p>
<p>The biggest improvement was their power play. They were able to strike 3 times on the man advantage and force Toronto to commit 7 penalties in the game. Victor Hedman, Nikita Kucherov, and Brayden Point, three of Tampa’s biggest stars, knew what to do a man up, and they all found the back of the net.</p>
<p>Tampa also got production from veteran players. Corey Perry and Brandon Hagel scored, and before long, the game was out of reach. Toronto tried to fight back with two late goals in the 3rd period, but they were ultimately shut down and will have to head to Tampa Bay tied 1-1.</p>
<p>The final score does not indicate how well Tampa’s defense played. They only gave up 1 goal to Toronto’s high powered offense in the first two periods. They also held the best power play in the NHL scoreless in 4 tries.</p>
<p>For the Maple Leafs, it may not be such smooth sailing like it was in Game 1. The odds show them as the underdogs, following the impressive performance by the Lightning two nights ago.</p>
