The 3-0 Carolina Hurricanes travel up north to Edmonton to take on the 1-2 Oilers.

The Hurricanes have started hot and right where they left off last season.

This will be their first true test of the season, as their first 3 games were against non-playoff teams. They handled their business, sure, but the Oilers are a different animal, especially in Edmonton.

The Oilers haven't quite gotten going but they are one of the most star-studded teams in the league.

Can the Oilers write the ship and get a win at home against the steady Hurricanes?

PREDICTION

This game is a pick 'em for a reason as I really think this is going to be a barn-burner on ice.

Connor McDavid and company will come out at home and want to get a big win against the tough Hurricanes.

Both these teams have the capability to score a lot of goals and I see that being the case again tonight.

I don't feel comfortable with a side but I love the over.

ANDREI SVECHNIKOV o2.5 SOGs (-130)

Svechnikov is very streaky but is one of Carolina's best offensive players and has started hot this season.

He has hit his SOGs in two of three to start the season and has hit 3+ in three straight against the Oilers.

This probably won't sky over but he should get his 3 on cage.

LEON DRAISAITL o1.5 PTS (-120)

I love this spot for Leon.

This fits in with my over play as well. I really think there is going to be a lot of offense in this game, even with the Hurricanes pesky defense.

The Oilers are going to come out ready to roll and wanting to put the puck in the net and Draisaitl will have his hand in at least 2 of these goals.

CONNOR McDAVID ATG (+105)

This is my favorite prop in this game. He didn't score last game and I love betting goal scorers the next game after he didn't score.

He has only scored 1 goal against the Hurricanes in his career and I think that is 2 after tonight.
