Winning hasn’t been easy for the Blues, who dropped to 2-5-0 in their last seven games with Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. Meanwhile, the Oilers aim for consecutive wins after four players tallied multi-point performances in a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.
With plenty of betting opportunities on the horizon tonight, here are my Blues vs. Oilers predictions and best bets.

Blues vs Oilers Prediction & Pick (2/28): St. Louis’ Skid Continues
As mentioned before, the Blues are currently in a rough stretch. Not only are they 2-5 SU in their seven previous outings, but they’ve also lost three consecutive road games, getting outscored 14-4 on aggregate while going 0-for-7 on the power play during that run.
St. Louis did notch a 6-3 win over Edmonton on Feb 15, but that victory came at home.
Meanwhile, the Oilers have stood tall at the end of 15 of their last 20 home games, outscoring those opponents by an average of 1.5 goals per game. Edmonton’s special teams have also been rolling at Rogers Place, highlighted by a 43.3% power-play percentage and 88.6% penalty kill success rate across the last 12 home games.
The Oilers have experienced a ton of special teams success at Rogers Place over the last few weeks.
All eyes are on Oilers superstar Connor McDavid tonight to see if he can finally snap his goal drought. The three-time Hart Memorial Trophy winner hasn’t found the back of the net since Feb. 6, now going 10 consecutive games without a goal.
Having said that, a date with the Blues just might be what No. 97 needs to get back on track. McDavid has four goals in his last seven meetings with St. Louis, which includes a trio of goals in the last three meetings at Rogers Place.
Blues netminder Jordan Binnington’s recent lackluster play could also benefit McDavid. The veteran goaltender allowed four goals on 18 shots in his last start on Feb. 24, giving him a 3.27 goals-against average and .908 save percentage in his last five starts.
Meanwhile, the Oilers’ Stuart Skinner has been racking up wins on home ice, going 8-1-1 with a 2.60 GAA and .919 SV% in his 10 previous appearances at Rogers Place.

With the Blues struggling to keep the puck out of their net on the road, I’m predicting an Oilers win tonight. In fact, I’ll even go as far as taking Edmonton to cover the 1.5-goal puck line, too.
Each of the Blues’ five losses in the last seven games came by two or more goals. Additionally, they’ve been outscored by an average of 3.3 goals in their last three road games. Considering all of the firepower that the Oilers possess, a lopsided win is a real possibility.

Best Blues vs Oilers NHL Player Prop (2/28)
Even if he hasn’t scored lately, McDavid has excelled at setting up his teammates. That’s why I’m taking him to record 2+ assists for the best Blues vs. Oilers player prop.
McDavid has racked up an astounding 23 assists over the last 10 games, pulling through on this prop eight times. He also recorded at least two assists in each of his last six home games, amassing a total of 17 during that stretch.
After tallying three assists against the Blues less than two weeks ago, McDavid is in a great spot to finish with at least two helpers tonight.
