We are just 10 days away from college football being back on our screens, as 16 teams go head to head on August 29 to kick off the NCAA Football season. We will certainly have a best bets piece from our experts sometime next week, but until then, let's look at the Week 0 betting odds to see if anything is worth jumping on right now.

NCAA Football Week 0 Betting Odds
Bill Belichick kicks off Year 2 at UNC across the pond in Ireland

North Carolina vs. TCU Matchup Information

Tar Heels vs. Horned Frogs Betting Odds

Last year, Bill Belichick kicked off his collegiate coaching career with an embarrassing loss at home. After a seven play, 83 yard perfectly scripted drive leading to the opening touchdown in less than five minutes, the wheels fell off, and the Horned Frogs ended up winning 48-14. Now, the two meet again in Ireland.
Plenty of offseason distractions have surrounded the Tar Heels, and I expect them to be bottom feeders of the ACC. As for TCU, they have to learn to play without Josh Hoover. If you wanted to back TCU, you already missed less than a touchdown, but it wouldn't surprise me if they win by double digits again.

San Jose State vs. USC Matchup Information

Spartans vs. Trojans Betting Odds

- Over 60.5 (-110)
This number opened originally at -35.5 to the Trojans and has since climbed almost four points. USC should murder SJSU at home, so as far as backing them, I think the number is gone. However, if you trust San Jose State to score two touchdowns, the over could be the move, although that has steamed from a 57.5 opener as well.

NC State vs. Virginia Matchup Information

Wolfpack vs. Cavaliers Betting Odds
- UVA -5.5 (-110)
- Over 54 (-105)
Two ACC opponents meet and this year, things will count towards their new nine game conference schedule. This was one of Virginia's few losses last season, but now they get to play host. We saw 66 total points in last year's meeting, and this year the line has only moved up half a point from the opener, while Virginia has gone from a field goal favorite to where they sit now.

Caden Creel and Jacksonville State welcome the NDSU Bison to the FBS in Week 0
Jacksonville State vs. North Dakota State Matchup Information

Gamecocks vs. Bison Betting Odds
- NDSU -6.5 (-115)

The Bison are one of our two new FBS teams this year, making the transition from FCS play after dominating for decades. Now this team, playing in the Mountain West, faces one of the most underrated rushing attacks in all of college football.
If the Bison can control the line of scrimmage, they should win this game at home, but the nerves of playing with the big boys for the first time might get to them. Bettors certainly respect the visitors in this matchup, as NDSU opened as a double digit favorite, and now can be bet for less than a touchdown, with the total also coming down slightly from the original opener.
Sacramento State vs. Eastern Michigan Matchup Information

- Kick Off: 6:30 p.m. Eastern
- Broadcast: ESPN+
Hornets vs. Eagles Betting Odds
- EMU -9.5 (-110)
- Over 52.5 (-110)
The Sacramento State Hornets are our other newcomer to the FBS, and they travel to Eastern Michigan to take on the Eagles. I think EMU is rightfully favored here, although they probably won't be anything more than a middle of the pack team in the MAC.
No real movement, as plenty of books are still hanging an 8.5 point opener for the Eagles.

New Mexico State vs. Florida State Matchup Information
- Venue & Location: Doak Campbell Stadium (Tallahassee, FL)
- Kick Off: 7:00 p.m. Eastern
- Broadcast: CW Network
Aggies vs. Seminoles Betting Odds
- FSU -31.5 (-110)
- Over 53.5 (-110)
Ashton Daniels begins his career as a Seminole with an easy matchup at home against New Mexico State. The line has moved about a field goal in their favor, yet the total remained the same, or even came down to 52.5.
While FSU should win big, I would be hesitant to lay THAT many.
Hawaii vs. Stanford Matchup Information
- Venue & Location: Stanford Stadium (Stanford, CA)
- Kick Off: 7:00 p.m. Eastern
- Broadcast: ACC Network
Rainbow Warriors vs. Cardinal Betting Odds
- Stanford -5.5 (-115)
- Over 49 (-115)
Bettors have backed the Cardinal in this spot, as the original line of -3 is long gone, with some even posting an even six right now. However the total has dropped below 50, and might keep moving. Hawaii won this meeting last year on the island, with a pair of field goals in the final two minutes, including one as time expired. The Rainbow Warriors went 52 yards in a minute 33 to set up the 38 yard winner.
If this game were on the island, I might feel inclined to bet it. But this will more than likely be a pass from me, unless Hawaii gets up to catching a full touchdown.

Memphis vs. UNLV Matchup Information

- Kick Off: 10:00 p.m. Eastern

Tigers vs. Rebels Betting Odds
- UNLV -5.5 (-110)
- Over 56.5 (-115)
Last but not least, some action in Sin City. Despite the hosts steaming from a field goal favorite to anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5, the total has actually moved down about that many, as if they took away some Memphis points. While the Tigers might be up there on the American conference betting board, I have a different team in mind to win that league. Plus, Memphis is in rebuild with a new head coach and plenty of personnel leaving for Arkansas.
Dan Mullen is in Year 2 at UNLV, looking to build off of last season's 10-4 record with new QB Jackson Arnold coming in from two separate P4, SEC programs. Even with the line movement, I think UNLV will get the job done. So I'll jump on this -5.5 before it gets up to a touchdown.
