College Football Week Eight: Player Props Expert Picks & Analysis

Week eight is here and we are back at it again with some more of my favorite college football player props!

But first lets recap the insane week of college football that we witnessed last week were we saw five out of the top eight teams suffer a loss. Alabama losing to Tennessee, Auburn upsetting Georgia, and BYU getting the last minute win against Notre Dame.

So are we in store for more chaos and fireworks here in week eight? Personally I do not think so but we here at Betting News got you covered in every possible way so that you are prepared for this upcoming week. 

Some of the matchups I am most looking forward to this week are #7 Ole Miss vs #19 Texas, Vanderbilt vs #12 Kentucky, and #14 Houston vs #10 Utah.

Week Eight Player Props

Devon Dampier o1.5 Passing Touchdowns -110 on Lucky Rebel

In my opinion one of the most consistent passers we have in college football Dampier and this Utah team are playing some great football right now. Leaning on their stout defense and then offensively playing great complimentary football.

Dampier has hit this line in every single game so far this year and I like him in this spot this week against a 92nd ranked pass defense in the country. I took this line last week for Dampier and it hit as well so lets keep the ball rolling and take it again.

One of his top recievers Creed Whitemore has yet to get his first touchdown of the season so I really like for him to find the endzone this week as well.

Drew Mestemaker o2.5 Passing Touchdowns +144 on Lucky Rebel

Mestemaker is really finding his groove as we get into the meat and potatoes of this season and it is only helping improve his draft stock. He is currently the odds on favorite to be the first player drafted in this upcoming class.

Now that he is rolling I expect Mestemaker to keep going in this game as he gets to face the 110th ranked pass defense in the country. The thing that I think sets him apart or is the reason to his success is how insanely accurate he is with the ball.

With a completion percentage of 67 percent on the year if you give Mestemaker the opportunity he will make you pay.

Dylan Riley o119.5 Rushing Yards -125 on Lucky Rebel

Getting better and better every week so far this season Riley has been one of the main reasons why this Boise State team has seen so much success. With a five and one record heading into Washington State I love for the Broncos to go into Washington and put some belt on the Cougars.

Riley has ecplised this line in four out of five games so far this season and getting to face one of the worst run defenses in the country?  I do not think that pace will slow down for Riley or this Broncos offense.

This fantastic run game also takes a ton of pressure off their quarterback Maddux Madsen as well which only helps the case for the Broncos for me and is the main reason why I like the -13.5 point spread for Boise this weekend.

Kevin Jennings o14.5 Rushing Yards -114 on Lucky Rebel

A very athletic and twitchy runner Jennings is the engine of this Mustang offense. Cal is one of the worst run defenses in the country and they are espescially bad against limiting the quarterback runs.

Simply it comes down to a lack of discipline where guys on the Cal defense do not do their jobs and lose eyes on the quarterback. With a runner like Jennings that can be detrimental to your hopes of pulling off an upset victory.

This is another game I where I like SMU to cover the 18.5 point spread or even their team total at o37.5 as well.
