Jokic Gunnin’ for a 3rd MVP?

The Nuggets are sitting at the top of the West and it is largely thanks to Nikola Jokic.

Jokic has been fantastic yet again this season, averaging almost a triple double and looking like a potential MVP yet again.

The Nuggets, in turn, are playing amazing basketball, sitting atop the West, are 8-2 in their last 10 and have won 6 in a row.

They took care of business against the Blazers in their last matchup handily, 120-107, and will look to handle them again at home tonight.

Dame Time hasn’t been Enough

For the Blazers, Damian Lillard has been sensational, especially the last 2 weeks but it hasn’t translated to wins.

Lillard is averaging 38 PPG over his last 5 games and 30 PPG over the last 10 games, yet the Blazers are only 4-6 in that stretch.

Lillard does love playing the Nuggets and they are always fantastic matchups every time these two teams square off.

In the 3 matchups with the Nuggets this year, he has 31+ points in all 3 games and will have to be fantastic again tonight to keep the Blazers around.

Prediction

Given the fact that these teams have played 3 times already this season, it is hard to pick a side in this one.

I really think that the Nuggets should take care of business at home and continue their streak to 7 in a row.

But I have a feeling Dame and the Blazers do enough to hang around long enough to possibly cover this 7 point spread.

Therefor, I am going to take the over in this matchup and sit back and watch a fast paced, offensive game between two of the games biggest stars.
