Today's Best Bets

Jaylon Tyson o18.5 PRA (-108)| Lucky Rebel

Jaylon Tyson

Today's slate is the prettiest when you first take a look. Today's a day we might have to dive a little deeper and I'm kicking it off with Jaylon Tyson of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Tyson's been great in his sophomore year; averaging 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. He's also shooting 48.7% from the field and 45.6% from beyond the arc. Tyson has the third best 3-point shooting percentage in the league and that's no surprise if you watched him in college.

The kid's been a huge part of the Cavaliers success this year and he's stepped up when called on. He's cleared this line in 13 of his last 20 games (65%) and he's been phenomenal on the second night of back to backs.

Off zero days rest; Tyson's averaging 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. His shooting percentage jump to 51.6% from the field and 48.% from beyond the arc. Tyson's playing 29.5 minutes per game in these games and tonight we've got a 13-point spread.

Tyson recorded career high 39 points last time he played the Philadelphia 76ers and their defense hasn't gotten any better. Philly's giving up 119 points per game over their last 10 games (25th) and allowing opponents to shoot 37% from beyond the arc (25th).

The Sixers also rank bottom five in opponent offensive rebound rate and that's something we've seen Tyson excel at. The second year guard's averaging 1.9 offensive rebounds per game this year, second only to Dyson Daniels among true guards.

Brandin Podziemski o11.5 A/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Brandin Podziemski

It seems like Brandin Podziemski's on a bit of a heater and I'm ready to throw a unit at it. Podz and the Golden State Warriors are coming off two games against two of the toughest defense in the NBA. The Warriors still managed to stay in both games up until the very end and even recorded an overtime win against Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets.

This will be the Warriors third and final game of this three game road trip and the final time these two teams meet this year. Golden State's come away with the win in all three of the previous matchups, but tonight will be the first of the four games without Stephen Curry in the lineup.

Podz has cleared this line in back to back games against the Jazz, including one where he came off the bench and played just 24 minutes. He's cleared this line in six of his last eight games overall and after games against two great defenses, you gotta think the Warriors score more points tonight.

Both teams have met three times and the average total points scored comes out to around 250. Tonight's total is significantly lower with Steph out of the lineup and the Jazz missing almost their entire starting five. That being said, both teams have been playing fast and that's exactly what we want.

Quick offense, more shots taken, more rebounding opportunities and hopefully more assists. I'm in on Podz tonight, please don't make me regret this.

Benedict Mathurin o20.5 P/R (-118) | Lucky Rebel

Ben Mathurin

Benedict Mathurin has been thriving for the Los Angeles Clippers. Mathurin is averaging 29.3 minutes for the Clippers since the trade, but he's putting up 18.4 points and grabbing 6.4 rebounds per game. His shooting percentages haven't been the best but he's getting a ton of opportunity and he's taken advantage.

Even though he's coming off the bench, Mathurin has played over 30 minutes in seven of the 11 games he's played for Los Angeles. His usage rate has also jumped from 23% to 28% since coming to the Clips and a lot of that's because he's coming off the bench now instead of starting like he did in Indiana.

Mathurin's played the Knicks 16 times in his career, in 10 of those games he's played 30+ minutes. In those 10 games, Mathurin cleared this line in eight of the 10; averaging 19.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. One of the two misses was a 20-point/0-rebound game in which he played just 26 minutes.

Going back to just last year, Mathurin's over this line in six of 10, but six of the seven games where he played over 10 minutes. He loves playing the Knicks and tonight he gets them on the second night of a back to back.
