Happy Tuesday, family. I hope you've had a wicked holiday season, full of family, food and winning slips. We've got a small slate of NBA games to talk about and three props I love tonight. Let's jump right into it.

Today's Best Bets

Deandre Ayton o1.5 Assists (+200) | Lucky Rebel

Let's kick it off with something spicy. The Los Angeles Lakers host the Detroit Pistons today and Center assists against Jalen Duren is back on my radar. Ayton had 2 assists in the team's last game and has only hit this line in 8 of his 26 games this year.

Even with the hit rate so low, this is a line Ayton's hit in two of three career games against Duren. Duren's size inside has been the anchor of this Pistons defense and the reason the team ranks 3rd in points allowed in the paint. The Pistons have allowed seven of the last eight centers they've faced to record two or more assists and tonight with it being Lebron's birthday, should be plenty of opportunity for two more.

Jaylen Brown o30.5 Points (-130) | Lucky Rebel

Of course I'm going right back to Jaylen Brown. He's scored 30+ points in nine straight games and 29+ in 14 of his last 16 games He's averaging 31.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game in that 16 game span.

Brown's got a chance to break Larry Bird's record of 9 straight games of 30+ points and he can do it against a Utah Jazz team that ranks 4th in pace and 30th in opponent effective field goal percent. The team's giving up 127.1 points per game and Jaylen's been scoring 35.6% of the team's points.

The Jazz also give up the 4th most points per possession on isolation plays and Brown's been one of the best iso players in the NBA this year. He's averaging 1.06 points per possession and has the 2nd best shooting percentage in isolation (52.1%).

Brown's having an MVP-esque season, argue with a wall.

Jalen Duren o29.5 PRA (-110) | Lucky Rebel

We're going right back to the Lakers game for my last prop. Duren's been so good and I just can't ignore it.

Jalen Duren has been playing some of the best basketball of his career. He's averaging career highs across the board and he's been the anchor of this Pistons #1 ranked defense. The team's giving up just 112.9 points per game holding opponents to a 44.5% shooting percentage.

Duren's averaging 18.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He's shooting 63.6% from the field and tonight he matches up with Deandre Ayton. Duren's had some mediocre games against Ayton in the past but Duren's also seeing the most volume of his career.

This year Duren's second on the team in usage at 22.0%, scoring 25.0% of the team's points and grabbing 38.4% of the team's rebounds. He's always had a good eye for his teammates and been able to find them in good spots. The Lakers have struggled defensively and tonight's game should be a lot of fun.

The Lakers rank 27th in opponent effective field goal percentage and 29th in opponent 3-point percentage. I'm expecting a big game tonight on Lebron's birthday and I think the Pistons would love to play spoiler tonight.
