Happy Friday. It's the day after Christmas and I hope you had a holiday full of good food, good drinks and most of all good company. We've got a beautiful NBA slate to talk about and I've got a few props I'm in love with.

For additional information on picks, props, money lines and more on today's slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page, here.

Today's Best Bets

Saddiq Bey o22.5 P/R (-112) | Lucky Rebel

saddiq bey

Herb Jones is once again out for the Pelicans and I'm going right back to Saddiq Bey because of it. Bey's hit this line in 8 of his 9 games without Jones this year, averaging 18.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Bey's shooting 48.8% from the field in these 9 games and averaging just under 12 rebound chances per game.

The Suns have been tough defensively this year. The team ranks 10th in points allowed but 20th in opponent effective field goal percentage. Phoenix ranks 28th in opponent offensive rebound rate and we've seen Bey very active on the offensive glass this year. In the 9 games without Herb, not only is he averaging 8.0 rebounds per game but he's also averaging just under two offensive rebounds per game.

Bey's playing for his next NBA contract and maybe a rotational spot on a real competitor. He's looked great this year in extended time with the Pelicans and I think he continues to build on that tonight against the Suns.

Jaylen Brown o41.5 PRA (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown's having one of the best Celtic seasons of the past 20 years so of course I'm going to go right back to him. The Celtics guard has been on a different planet this year. He's recorded 30+ points in 9 of his last 10 games, including 7 straight. He became just the third player to score 30+ points in 7 straight games and now has the second longest streak of 30+ points; Larry Bird holding the record with 9 straight.

Tonight Brown's got a chance to continue the streak, continue chasing Larry and could there be a more perfect team to do it against. The Celtics head to Bird's home state of Indiana for tonight's matchup and face a team he not only coached but also presided over as President of Basketball Operations.

Brown ranks 5th this year in isolation possessions per game, 4th in isolation points per game and 4th in isolation shooting percentage. He's averaging 1.03 points per possession in iso and shooting 50% from the floor. The Pacers rank bottom five in isolation defense. Allowing 1.04 points per possession and allowing opponents to shoot 46.7% from the field.

Just to add a little more fuel to this JB fire, the Celtics didn't play on Christmas Day. Not only did the entire world think the Celtics were entering a 'gap year' but the league did too. The Mavericks got a Christmas Day game but the Celtics didn't; despite winning a championship as recently as 2024.

The Celtics played on Christmas Day for 9 straight years prior to this year. Jaylen Brown's played on Christmas Day every single year since he entered the league. This year with Tatum on the sidelines, no Christmas game.

Brown's having an MVP-esque season and I can't imagine he was happy on the couch.

Josh Giddey o17.5 A/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Josh Giddey

Let's get chalky with Josh Giddey. Giddey's been great this year, leading the Bulls in every major stat category. He's averaging 20.0 points, 9.3 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game. The Bulls are playing at a top five pace this year and it's all because of Giddey.

The Bulls season so far has been full of ups and downs. They've won four games in a row and this marks the second time this year they've wont four or more games in a row. This same team also lost seven straight games from the end of November to the beginning of December and has two losing streaks of five or more games. We're only 29 games into the season.

The one consistent thing about this Bulls team is Giddey. He's going to come out every night, play his ass off and give you everything he's got. During this four game win streak, Giddey's averaging 19.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 11.3 assists per game. He's cleared this line in three of those four games and he's cleared this line in 67% of his games this year.

Giddey also cooks the Sixers, clearing this line in three of four games last year and averaged 22.0 combined rebounds/assists.
