Friday Junior, the second best day of the week. We've got a beautiful looking 8-game NBA slate to jump into so let's get right into it.

For additional information on picks, props, money lines and more on today's slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page, here.

Today's Best Bets

Norman Powell o23.5 Points (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Let's kick it off with some chalk. Norman Powell has been great for the Miami Heat this year and now he returns to Portland as a full time starter and #1 option for Miami. Powell played just 67 games for the Blazers, but this was the first place he became a full time starter. He started 66 of the 67 games, averaging 18.2 points per game.

Now Powell's averaging a career high 23.7 points per game at the age of 32. He's seeing the highest usage rate of his career and he's been making the most of it. Powell leads the team in points and has been a core reason for their early season success.

Portland ranks 22nd in points allowed, 24th in opponent free throw rate and 24th in opponent fast break points. Norm ranks 9th in the entire NBA in fast break point per game and he leads the heat with 5.6 free throw attempts per game. Tyler Herro will also be out of the lineup for Miami so that should lead to a boost in usage for Norm and what better place for that to happen.

Anthony Edwards o3.5 3s (-130) | Lucky Rebel

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

We're not getting the same value we did the other day, but this price tag still feels wrong. Antman's taken 31 3s over his last two games and both games have come against defenses that give up a ton of open/wide open 3-point attempts. That's why I'm looking to target this Bulls defense that ranks 20th in 3s allowed and bottom-5 in open 3-point attempts allowed.

Chicago ranks 21st in opponent 3-point percentage and that drops to 26th over the team's last 10 games. Edwards has cleared this line in 6 of his last 7 games and 2 of his last 3 against the Bulls. He's shooting 46.2% from 3-point range this month and he's taking 9.8 attempts per game.

Edwards has clearly been one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA this year and a ton of that scoring has come from beyond the arc. The Bulls have struggled against opposing guards this year and I'm expecting Edwards to take full advantage. He deserved to be an All-Star Starter this year and I think his revenge tour continues tonight.

Julian Champagnie o19.5 P/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Champagnie

Julian Champagnie has quietly been having a great year and has been a key cog on this San Antonio Spurs team. Champagnie's averaging career highs in both points per game (11.6) and rebounds per game (6.3). As a starter this year, his numbers jump to 13.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

This month alone, Champagnie started all 11 games for the Spurs; averaging 14.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. He's shooting 38% from beyond the arc this month and we've seen how much this Jazz team struggles from out there.

Utah ranks 30th in points allowed, 20th in rebounds allowed, 30th in opponent effective field goal percentage and 18th in opponent offensive rebound rate. Champagnie's cleared this line in 7 of his L10 games and Utah's 3rd ranked pace should only provide more opportunities to stuff the stat sheet.

Jalen Pickett o7.5 A/R (-130) | Lucky Rebel

Jalen Pickett

Now let's cap it off with another guy we bet on Tuesday, Jalen Pickett. Pickett played just 26 minutes in the game against Los Angeles but still came away with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. He's averaging 6.2 points, 2.8 rebound and 2.7 assists per game this year but that's while averaging just 17.9 minutes per game.

In 11 games as a starter this year, Pickett's averaging 10.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. He's cleared this line in 6 of his last 7 games overall and 10 of 14 games when he played just 20+ minutes.

The Wizards rank 29th in assists allowed, 29th in rebounds allowed, 23rd in opponent effective field goal percentage, 30th in opponent offensive rebound rate and 22nd in fast break points allowed. They play at a top-10 pace and it's lead to even more scoring opportunities for their opponents.

Pickett played this Wizards team just 5 days ago in Denver, he finished with 5 points, 5rebounds and 5 assists.
