Nuggets and Jokic Not Slowing Down

I just wrote about the Nuggets yesterday and talked about Jokic.

Well, here we are a day later and I am going to do the same again.

The Nuggets are sitting at the top of the West and it is largely thanks to the Joker.

Jokic has been fantastic yet again this season, averaging almost a triple double and looking like a potential MVP yet again.

The Nuggets, in turn, are playing amazing basketball.

They are sitting #1 in the West, are 9-2 in their last 10 and have won 7 in a row.

Jokic dropped 36 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds last night and did this as well..

Jokic and the Nuggies took care of business against the Blazers last night, 122-113, and even on a back-to-back they will be looking to get after the Timberwolves tonight and pick up another Western Conference win at home.

Wolves Staying Alive…For Now

The boys from Minnesota have other ideas, as they are looking to continue to climb into the playoff race in the West.

The Timberwolves are currently sitting 9th in the West, right in the mix for a playoff birth as long as they continue to find some gritty wins.

SG Anthony Edwards has been a bright spot for the Wolves this season, but as of right now he is questionable to go tonight.

If Ant does end up going tonight, I like him to continue his great play that he has been showing all season.

The Wolves beat the Nuggets earlier this month and it was largely due to a monster game from Edwards.

He had 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in that big win and if he goes tonight, he will have to put up similar numbers to keep the Wolves around.

If Ant goes, can he do enough to pull an upset in the Mile High City?

Or will the Joker continue his dominance and led the Nuggets to get their sweet revenge against the wounded Wolves?

Prediction

Without the news of Edwards, a huge part of the Wolves offense, I am wary to pick a side in this one, especially with a 10 point spread.

I rode the Nuggets/Blazers over yesterday and it came up a couple points short, despite massive nights from Jokic and Dame.

I am going straight back to the over here, with 2 high powered offenses.

The Wolves defense is not fantastic, especially without KAT and Rudy Gobert.

Add in the Nuggets on a back to back, I could see some tired defending and easy offense.

I love the Joker tonight and it's for one simple reason.

He didn't have a great game when he played the Wolves earlier this month.

I know he remembers that and will want to come out tonight and dominate.

It helps my case that he just dropped 36 points last night but it is a perfect spot for Jokic to come out at home again and put on a show.
