Kevin Durant returns to one of his old stomping grounds with his new team as the Phoenix Suns roll into Oklahoma City to take on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the playoff flirting Thunder.
It is a massive NBA slate today and this Western conference clash in Paycom Center is one of the best of the bunch.
Can the Thunder further solidify their playoff position and stay firmly in the hunt for a play in game or will the Suns win their 5th game in a row and hold tight to the 4th seed?

It is all to play for in the middle of the Western conference, as only 6 games separate the 4th place Suns and the 12th place Jazz.
Every win matters for all 9 of those teams fighting for for their playoff lives, to either avoid a play in game or to make the playoffs all together.
For both of these teams tonight, a win would be paramount towards seeding and staying alive in the hunt.
The Thunder are holding on to the 10th seed but a run of up and down form has seen their playoff hopes shift from incredibly likely to a race to the finish line.
Oklahoma City have a 1 game lead on the 11th place Mavericks, who play the Hawks today in Atlanta, and are in desperation mode as well.
The Thunder are in the drivers seat, and as long as they pick up some big wins this last week of the regular season, their playoff dreams will become a reality.
Tonight, they will have to face Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and the new-look Suns, picking up steam heading into the post-season.
The Suns have won 4 in a row, with Durant settling into this lineup beautifully just in time for the Suns championship chase to begin.
The Suns are 4th and have a 1.5 game lead on the 5th place Warriors and would like to keep hold of the 4 seed heading into the playoffs.
In what should be a battle from the opening tip, I think the Suns get the job done on the road, on the back of big games from Durant and Booker.
But give me the Thunder to cover, as they NEED to win, and I think they play like it tonight.

He has looked fantastic since joining the Suns and while I love his points too, his rebounds was my favorite prop line to attack.
KD has 7+ rebounds in 3 of his 5 games with the Suns and has a fantastic rebound rate against the Thunder.
Durant has 7+ rebounds in 5 straight games versus Oklahoma City, going back to his Nets and Warriors days.
I like his points, his 30+ is speaking to me as well but for the value, and the recent success, give me the boards.
