Prediction

We should be in for a good one tonight in Philly as Luka and the Mavericks are in desperate need of a as many wins as possible in the last 6 games of the season.

The Mavericks have lost 7 of their last 10 games and find themselves out of the playoffs if they started today.

The Mavs are 11th but they are only 1 game back from the 8th place Pelicans and only 2.5 games back from the 6th place Warriors.

Stacking a few wins could change the Mavericks position form the outside looking in to avoiding a play-in game all together.

It is all to play for and it starts tonight against Joel Embiid and the Sixers.

The Sixers don’t have the same pressure as the Mavericks do but still have a lot on the line, as they are 2.5 games back from the 2nd place Celtics and 2 games ahead of the 4th place Cavaliers.

Philly has lost 3 in a row and can’t afford to lose many more games if they want to threaten the Celtics for the 2 seed and possibly push the Bucks for the number 1 spot.

It will be a battle tonight, as Luka Doncic will go toe-to-toe with Joel Embiid in a must-win game for both teams.

It is tough to imagine the playoffs without Luka, Kyrie and the Mavericks and I think that sense of urgency shows tonight.

Give me the Mavericks to cover the 4 points spread and maybe even win outright at home to get right back into the mix in the Western conference playoff race.

No big shock here that I going with Luka but the surprise is how good of a price we are getting on his assists.

Luka has 8+ assists in 4 of his last 5 games. He also has been fantastic facilitating against the Sixers.

In the game earlier this month, Doncic dropped 12 assists and has 10+ assists in his last 3 matchups with the Sixers.

I expect a big performance from Luka again tonight and love the value on the 10+ assists as well.
