Prediction for Lakers vs Nuggets

Game 1 was a fantastic kickoff to this series, as the Nuggets were able to win at home to take a 1-0 lead.

Nikola Jokic did things in Game 1 that have never been done before, adding to his already special resume.

After his performance in game 6 to close out the Suns, following it up with this performance is showing that Jokic is looking to not blow this opportunity to make his first NBA Finals appearance.

Jokic was fantastic but so was Jamal Murray, dropping 31 points and hitting 4 3’s to help lead the Nuggets to a great start to the series and hold off the talented Lakers.

Can Anthony Davis repeat his special Game 1 performance?

Early in Game 1, it was looking like the Nuggets might run away with the game and run the Lakers out of the gym. Anthony Davis said ‘Not so fast, my friend,’ dropping 40 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead a furious Lakers comeback in the 2nd half.

It didn’t translate to a Lakers win, but this type of performance feeds the confidence in Davis and the Lakers that Game 2 can go the way of the Purple and Gold.

And I think the confidence from the comeback shows tonight.

Best Bet for Lakers vs Nuggets

The Lakers came back to lose by 6 exactly last game, barely covering the 6.5 point spread. I think tonight will be a much closer game, with the Lakers maybe even finding a way to level this series.

But, for the value and the number, give me the Lakers to cover the spread. 6 points is a great number once again and I think we see this one come down to the wire and maybe even the last bucket of the game.
