Jaylen Brown Over 30.5 Points (-115)

The Boston Celtics host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night as 11-point favorites in the fourth and final meeting between these Eastern Conference teams. Boston took care of business in the first two matchups before letting one slip in Indiana, falling 98–96.

That loss came with Jaylen Brown sidelined, but he'll be back on the floor tonight. Between the way that last meeting against Indiana slipped away and the Celtics coming off a frustrating 104–103 loss in Detroit, there should be plenty of urgency from this offense right out of the gate. Brown led the way in that loss to the Pistons, scoring 32 points despite shooting just 39% from the field.

Tonight's meeting is a much more favorable matchup for Brown. Indiana's defense ranks 20th in both points per 100 possessions allowed and effective field-goal percentage, while sitting 29th in opponent free-throw rate allowed. That last number matters, because Brown has cleared 30.5 points in seven of the 11 games this season in which he's attempted double-digit free throws.

Brown has already shown he can torch this matchup. In the two earlier meetings against the Pacers, he scored 31 and 30 points while shooting 54.5% from the floor. Much of his scoring comes from mid-range, an area Indiana struggles to defend, ranking 28th in opponent field-goal percentage from that zone.

This sets up as his best opportunity yet to deliver a statement performance against Indiana in the regular-season finale of this series.

Knicks vs Nets Over 220.5 (-112)

Let's stay on the East Coast for an in-state matchup between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets tonight.

These teams have already met twice this season, with New York in control both times. The Knicks dominated the opener at Madison Square Garden, winning 134–98, and followed that up with a 113–100 victory at the Barclays Center in November.

It's no surprise New York has had the upper hand. The Knicks enter this game with the third-ranked offense in points per 100 possessions and rank 12th in effective field-goal percentage. On the other side, Brooklyn's defense has struggled all season, sitting 26th in Pts/Poss allowed and 27th in opponent eFG%.

That said, New York's defense has been a disappointment as well. The Knicks rank just 18th in Pts/Poss allowed and 25th in opponent eFG%. While Brooklyn's offense grades out poorly, this matchup provides an opportunity for them to perform above their means – especially if they're able to generate trips to the charity stripes against a Knicks club that's 18th in opponent free throw rate given up.

I believe we're getting a slight discount through the market on this game's total. Neither team plays at an extreme pace or ranks among the league's most efficient offenses, but the defensive shortcomings on both sides should be enough to push this game into a higher-scoring range. I'll be backing the over in this matchup.

Dyson Daniels

Dyson Daniels Over 12.5 Rebounds + Assists (-112)

Let's shift back to the prop market and take a stab on Dyson Daniels eclipsing 12.5 combined rebounds and assists tonight.

Daniels and the Hawks head to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies in a matchup carrying the highest total (239.5) on Wednesday's slate, setting up well for a player like Daniels to contribute across the stat sheet.

He's been especially productive in January. Across nine games this month, Daniels is averaging roughly seven rebounds and seven assists per contest, clearing this 12.5 mark in seven of those nine games. That's a solid bump from his season-long averages of 6.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.

This feels like a strong spot to back a gritty, high-motor player like Daniels, whose ability to contribute across the stat sheet should be amplified in a fast-paced, high-scoring matchup.
