NBA Prop Bets for Tuesday, January 6

Zach LaVine Under 2.5 3-Pointers (-115)
If you've followed my plays consistently this year, you know I love betting unders on players facing the Mavericks. Why is that? Because Dallas features the league's top three-point defense, limiting opponents to just 33.3% shooting from deep. They also rank third in shot attempts allowed from beyond the arc (34.7%).
Additionally, they're coming off two days of rest, which should only heighten their defensive strengths from that territory.
On the other side, LaVine hasn't exactly been reliable from beyond the arc this season. Yes, he'll have the occasional explosion, but since the start of November he's stayed under 2.5 made threes in 13 of 19 games.
Considering he's struggled to consistently eclipse this mark, why should we expect anything to change in a matchup against the league's top perimeter defense?

Anthony Edwards Under 3.5 3-Pointers (-118)
Another player I'm banking on to stay below his three-point prop is Anthony Edwards.
Edwards is coming off a strong shooting performance on Sunday against the Wizards, where he knocked down six of his 10 attempts from deep and finished with 35 points. Prior to that, he faced the Miami Heat – the same team he's going up against tonight.
In that first meeting, he scored 33 points but was limited to just two made threes on eight attempts. He was still efficient overall, shooting 52.6% from the field and going 11-of-14 from the charity stripe.
I expect a better defensive showing from Miami this time around, and for Edwards to struggle once again beyond the perimeter. Him connecting on just a pair of triples was no fluke – the Heat rank fourth in opponent three-point field goal percentage this season (34.8%). Let's bank on those struggles from deep showing up again.
Jock Landale Under 11.5 Points (-114)
The Grizzlies' big man is in for a rough outing tonight. Jock Landale is set to face Victor Wembanyama and this formidable San Antonio Spurs defense.
The Spurs rank sixth in opponent field goal percentage allowed at the rim (64.5%) and 12th in shot rate allowed from that area (30.8%). Naturally, for a center like Landale, a majority of his shots (43%) come right around the basket.
In two meetings against the Spurs, he's scored just four points and 10 points.
He's coming off back-to-back games against the Lakers – a team that struggles far more at the rim – where he scored 14 and 13 points, respectively.
He barely cleared his points prop in those matchups, and now he's going up against one of the league's best rim-defending units. Expect regression from Landale.
Best Bets:
- Zach LaVine Under 2.5 3-Pointers (-115 at Lucky Rebel)
- Anthony Edwards Under 2.5 3-Pointers (-118 at Lucky Rebel)
- Jock Landale Under 11.5 Points (-114 at Lucky Rebel)
NBA Record: 87-62-1 (+16.88 units)
