Happy Saturday, everybody! We've got five games on today's NBA slate to work with, and I've got four props to dish out across the action.

Let's dive into my NBA prop bets for Saturday, February 28.

For additional information on picks, props, moneylines, and more on today's slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page.

NBA Prop Bets for Saturday, February 28

Jaime Jaquez Jr Under 14.5 Points (-117)

Let's kick things off in South Beach, where we've got a strong matchup set for a 3:30 p.m. tip between the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets. I've got two plays in this one – both of which are unders.

First up, I'm fading Jaime Jaquez Jr. under 14.5 points.

He is averaging 15 on the season, but that scoring output has dwindled a bit this month, and overall this sets up as a difficult matchup for him.

As a whole, the Rockets' defense is fourth in points per possession and fifth in effective field goal percentage allowed. Jaquez is taking a combined 95% of his shots at the rim and from mid-range, and Houston is ninth in field goal percentage allowed at the rim and 10th in shot rate given up from there. They're about middle of the pack in terms of their presence in mid-range territory, but still present a formidable threat at any spot on the floor.

This number is just a tad too high given the matchup, so we should look to fade Jaquez's production tonight.

Reed Sheppard Under 15.5 Points (-120)

The second wager involves fading Houston guard Reed Sheppard. The 21-year-old is coming off a prolific two-game stretch where he scored 28 and 20 points, respectively. Granted, those outings came against the Kings and the Magic – both bottom-tier defenses.

On the year, Sheppard is averaging 13 points per game, and this feels like a spot where he comes back down to earth.

So, I'm looking to sell high on Sheppard, especially against a respectable defense in Miami. The Heat are fifth in points per possession allowed and seventh in effective field goal percentage given up.

About 56% of Sheppard's attempts are coming from three-point range, but Miami ranks seventh in opponent three-point field goal percentage allowed.

I'm sure Sheppard will still be productive and efficient to some degree in this matchup, I'm just not expecting the scoring surge to continue tonight.

Tre Johnson Over 1.5 3pt FGM (-110)

In a not-so-anticipated matchup between the Raptors and Wizards, I found a wager on Tre Johnson to make Washington worth watching. I'll be backing Johnson to knock down a pair of triples against Toronto this evening.

The Raptors' defense has been solid overall this year, but where they show some vulnerability is along the perimeter. They're allowing opponents to get up threes at the 23rd-highest rate in the league. Johnson is taking 47% of his shots from deep and is averaging two made threes per game, so the volume should be there for him to reach that two-make mark tonight.

At a price of -110, it's worth taking a stab.

Luka Doncic Over 3.5 3pt FGM (+125)

With our final play of the Saturday slate, we'll be backing the birthday boy, Luka Doncic, to eclipse 3.5 three-pointers tonight. Doncic is taking 40% of his shot attempts from downtown and connecting on 36% of them. He's launching double-digit attempts from beyond the arc per game and has knocked down at least four in five of his last eight contests.

It's never outrageous to bet Luka overs, but the real appeal here is the price. Getting plus money against a hobbled Warriors squad makes this even more appealing. I'd play this at +125 down to even money. Look for Luka to light it up from deep tonight.
