Analysis & Breakdown

Most Valuable, Once Again
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is your 2026 NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP). It's the second time he's won the award and he now becomes just the 14th player in NBA history to win the award in back to back years. Shai had an incredible regular season, fresh off his first championship and first ever Finals MVP.
Shai averaged 33.2 points per game in the regular season and through eight playoff games, he's still averaging 29.1 per game. He's shooting over 50% from the field and his efficiency is exactly what makes him so dangerous.
Oklahoma City's 2nd leading scorer, Jalen Williams, played just 33 games this year. He averaged under 30 minutes per game and Oklahoma City still won 64 games. Williams has missed most of the postseason so far, but has been cleared to return for Game 1 of this Western Conference Final.
Despite having played more games than any other NBA team in the last two years and dealing with countless injuries; the Thunder haven't missed a beat. They finished atop the Western Conference, won 64 games in the regular season and have now gone 8-0 so far in the postseason.
Oklahoma City have a top five offense and a top five defense. They've been great on both sides of the ball, disciplined and it's exactly why they're right back here; in the Conference Final.
Victor Von Doom
If there's one team that can take down the Thunder, it's Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. For the first time since 2017, we've got to 60-win teams going head to head in the Conference Finals. Both teams have been incredible this year, on both sides of the ball.
The Spurs had the third best defensive rating in the regular season and currently rank first in the playoffs. San Antonio's giving up just 102.5 points per game in the playoffs and at the center of this defense is their Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY); Victor Wembanyama.
Vic's currently in his third year in the league, he just won his first DPOY and he's made the Conference Finals in his first playoff run. The kid is special and he continues to show it. In the playoffs, the team's defensive rating improves by 11.4 points with him on the floor. The team's got a +21.6 net rating with Wemby on the floor.
The Alien has landed and tonight he plays in the biggest game of his career, so far.
Monday's Best Bets

Julian Champagnie o14.5 P/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel
This is going to be a tough fought series between two of the best defenses in the NBA and it's why I'm looking to bet one of San Antonio's best wing defenders. Julian Champagnie is averaging 28.2 minutes per game in the postseason and has been a huge part of the Spurs success this year.
Champagnie is averaging 10.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He's shooting 49.4% from the field, 45% from the perimeter and averaging just under 2 stocks per game. The Spurs will need Champagnie's ability to shoot from three in this series and tonight on the road even more so.
