Tensions are high in Motor City tonight. The Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers will take the floor for Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semi-final; both desperate for a win.
Both the Pistons and Cavaliers went seven games in their opening round series and tonight's Game 7 will be the fourth of the postseason far. Nothing better than a Game 7, so let's jump right into this one.

Analysis & Breakdown

I Heart Cleveland
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been up 3-2 twice now in this postseason. In their first round matchup with the Toronto Raptors, the Cavaliers went on the road up 3-2 and lost an overtime game against Toronto that extended the series. The Cavaliers luckily did get the job done at home, in Game 7.
Tonight the Cavaliers look to close this series out once again, but this time it's on the road. Cleveland's got just one road win so far in the playoffs and that came just a few days ago in Game 5 of this series in Detroit. The offense dries up on the road and both Donovan Michell and James Harden have struggled away from Rocket Arena.
Mitchell's averaging just over 25 points per game in the playoffs, but in this series that's bumped that to 28.5 points per game due to a big jump in volume. He's shooting just 45% from the field against Detroit and he's below 30% from the perimeter in this series.
Harden's scored 19+ points in five of the six games, averaging 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game so far in the second round. The problem with both Mitchell and Harden is their shooting percentages have been really bad. Harden's shooting 40% from the field and just 33.3% from outside.
Evan Mobley's been relatively quiet in this series and the two-man game between Harden and Jarrett Allen we saw take over the last two months is no where to be seen. The Cavaliers have had their issues, but the team sits just one win shy of Conference Finals.
Motor City Monsters
The Detroit Pistons are a young team and one thing young teams do is make mistakes. The Pistons came into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and the only team in the east to record 60-wins. Detroit finished the regular season with the 2nd best net rating and they looked poise for a deep postseason run.
Through just two rounds so far, the Pistons will now play in their FIFTH (potential) elimination game. The youth on this team showed early in the first round when the Pistons went down 3-1 to the Orlando Magic; a team that snuck into the playoffs through the play-in tournament.
That same youth has shown up here in the semi-finals. Detroit's got the third best defensive rating in the playoffs but the team continues to struggle with turnovers. The Pistons have a 17% turnover rate, average 16.1 turnovers per game in the playoffs and they're giving up 18.3 points per game off just turnovers.
As bad as they've been at taking care of the ball, the Cavaliers have been just as bad; especially in this round. The Cavaliers are giving up 23.2 points per game off turnovers and 16.7 second chance points per game. The Pistons have taken advantage on that side of the ball and tonight in Game 7, on their home court; they'll need to win those exact battles.
Sunday's Best Bets

Cade Cunningham 041.5 PRA (-105) | Lucky Rebel
This exact guy burned us in Game 6, which is hard to believe when you look at the fact he had 16 points in the first half. The Pistons pulled away in that third quarter and it was a ton of the supporting cast that led the charge.
Detroit scored 30 points in that third quarter, 16 coming from the bench and all of it coming while Cade shot 1/5 in the quarter. The Pistons went into the fourth with a 14-point lead and finished the game with a 21-point win.
Cade played 42 minutes in a 21-point blowout win and that's what stood out to me. He shot 7/19 from the field, 1/9 in the second half and played 11 minutes of every quarter but the fourth. Against the Magic in Round 1, Cade played 39 minutes in a 22-point win, scored 32 points and dished out 12 assists.
Cade shot 55.6% from the field in that game and got to the line for 10 free throw attempts. Cade shows up in big games and that's why I'm rolling with him once again. In six career 'elimination' games; Cade's averaging 29.5 points, 7.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. He's taking 20.3 shot attempts per game and shooting 42.5% from three.
Cade was made for big games.
