The NBA's All-Star Weekend is in full swing and now we're here to talk about the biggest event of the weekend, the NBA All-Star Game. This year we're going to see a new iteration of the mid-season classic, three teams, tournament style and we've split the teams into the United States versus the World.
I'm excited. I hope you're excited. Let's jump straight into the game.

All-Star Game | Breakdown & Rules

All-Star Tourney
For the second time in his history, the NBA All-Star Game will be played tournament style. Last year was the first time we saw this format on display and the NBA's decided to go right back; this time with a few changes. First change, no more Rising Stars in the All-Star Game. They tried it last year, bringing them in as the fourth team; it just didn't feel right.
This year with just three teams, the tournament's set to play out a little differently. It gets a little complicated so stick with me:
- Game 1: Team Stars vs. Team World
- Game 2: Team Stripes vs. Winner of Game (1)
- Game 3: Team Stripe vs. Loser of Game (1)
- Game 4: Championship Game
Each team will have played three games by the end of the tournament and the top two record will go head to head in the Championship Round.

Stars, Stripes and the World
This year's All-Star Game splits the All-Stars into three different teams; separating them into three categories. The 25 players are first split into two categories, Americans (16) and International players (9). The 16 Americans were then further split into two teams of eight, one representing the 'old heads' and one representing the youth.

Jaylen Brown All-Star Game MVP (+1000)
It's the All-Star Game so we're going to have some fun. This year we'll get four games up to 25 and the most important thing here is which team can compete to win this entire thing. The MVP is going to come from the winning team and it's going to be someone that takes this game seriously.
We've seen multiple people in the media and even players in the NBA talk about the intensity in the All-Star Game and how it seems to be consistently lacking. Jaylen Brown's having a career year and currently sits top three in the NBA's MVP Ladder. This is the exact kind of game he will be taking seriously and he's got the roster to win this entire tournament.
Outside of JB, the Stars have guys like Kevin Durant, Jalen Brunson, Lebron James and Kawhi Leonard. Sounds like a ton of mouths to feed but Brown is the youngest of the bunch, he's having the best year of anyone on this team and this is his chance to a get an All-Star Game MVP added to the trophy case.
