We made it to the weekend and we're being rewarded with one of the trickiest NBA slate of the year. We've got nine games on the docket, six of those games have double digit spreads and five of them have spreads greater than 15.

Today could get ugly, but let's try to find some diamonds in the filth.

For additional information on picks, props, money lines and more on today's NBA slate, take a look at our NBA Picks Page or our NBA Odds Page

Today's Best Bets

Embiid Maxey Sixers

Joel Embiid o27.5 Points (-120) | Lucky Rebel

The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 6th in the Eastern Conference and are still at risk of slipping into the play-in tournament. They've currently got the exact same record as the Toronto Raptors with just six games left on the schedule and sit just 2.5-games in front of the 10th place Miami Heat.

Joel Embiid's slated to play in just his 36th game this year. The former MVP's averaging 26.9 points per game, he's shooting 49.5% from the field and getting to the line for 8.6 free throw attempts per game.

Embiid played just three games in March, averaged 32.7 minutes per game and took just over 20 shots per contest. He averaged 30.0 points per game in the three games, shot 49.2% from the field and 53.3% from three.

Joel started the year on a very strict minutes restriction, averaging just 25.7 minutes per game in his first 10 games. In the 26 games since; Joel's averaging 33.4 minutes per game, he's shooting 51.7% from field and scoring 29.4 points per game.

Now let's look at his games against Rudy Gobert. He's played Rudy 10 times in his career, averaging 28.4 points per game and scoring 30+ in four of their last five matchups.

Embiid's minutes are being monitored, but not on a game to game basis. He hasn't played since Monday and that's by design. He's cleared 30 minutes in 20 straight games now and cleared this line in 9 of his last 12 games overall.

kevin durant

Kevin Durant o10.5 A/R (+102) | Lucky Rebel

The Houston Rockets host the Utah Jazz tonight and with a 17-point spread, I almost stayed off this one. What brought me back? Houston's inability to cover large spreads.

That probably comes back to bite me, but the Rockets just haven't closed teams out when given the chance. Their most recent game came against a Milwaukee Bucks team that was missing their entire starting lineup.

Four of the Rockets starters played north of 33 minutes, with Alperen Sengun being the only starter not to; but even that was due to foul trouble.

Durant's cleared this line in five straight games against Utah, including three this year. Utah ranks bottom five in almost all defensive metrics and that's why the Rockets should have no problem scoring. The Jazz are also missing their entire starting lineup so expect a few extra missed shots.

Just need Durant to clear the glass a tiny bit.

Boston Celtics

Sam Hauser o11.5 P/R (-110) | Lucky Rebel

Sam Hauser's coming off one of his best games of the year and tonight he's slated to make just his third career start in his home state of Wisconsin.

Hauser's started a career high 44-games this year and he's frequently talked about by the team as one of the Celtics' best defenders. He's not often mentioned when we talk about the best defenders in the NBA but Head Coach Joe Mazzulla is more than happy to have Hauser guarding the opposing team's best players.

That being said, Hauser's increase in defensive responsibility might be the reason his shooting percentages have taken a dip. Hauser's projected to finish the year shooting below 40% from three for the first time in his career and he's shooting just 41.7% from the field.

Hauser's started just two career games here in Milwaukee, clearing this line with just points. He's played eight total games in Milwaukee, averaging 8.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Hauser's cleared this line in five of the eight games, two misses coming because he played fewer than 15 minutes.

Heading into the playoffs, you need you shooters to be confident. The Milwaukee Bucks rank 29th in 3s allowed, 28th in opponent 3-point percentage and he's back home (basically). Big Hauser night tonight, I can feel it.
