Happy Sunday. The weekend's coming to a close but we've got a huge slate in the NBA to cap off the week.

Not only do I have three plays for you today, but our very own Chef T's graced with his Best Bet on the hardwood. Let's not waste any time and let's jump right into these plays.

Chef T's Best Bet

Celtics

Derrick White o4.5 Assists (+120) | Lucky Rebel

With Jaylen Brown out, Derrick White steps into a much larger playmaking role as a primary facilitator for the Boston Celtics. The ball should be in his hands a lot more initiating offense, especially with the Celtics' system built on constant ball movement and drive-and-kick actions.

This matchup sets up well. The Charlotte Hornets consistently allow high assist production to opposing guards. With Jayson Tatum back drawing defensive attention and Boston's shooters spacing the floor, White should have plenty of opportunities to create for teammates and rack up assists.

Varun's Best Bets

jayson tatum

Jayson Tatum o8.5 Rebounds (-120) | Lucky Rebel

We're going right back to Jayson Tatum on the glass. The Celtics are 8-2 with Tatum in the lineup this year and an already great defense has looked even better with him back. Boston's holding their opponents to just 105.9 points per game in these 10 games and those teams are shooting just 45%.

Tatum is once again the Celtics' leading rebounder (since return) and he's averaging 9.5 rebounds per game. Most of his rebounds are coming on the defensive glass and that's going to be key against a Hornets team that ranks 4th in offensive rebound rate.

Charlotte ranks 5th in offensive rebounds per game this year and 2nd in second chance points. The Celtics defense has been great but you can't give the Hornets second chances and hope to succeed. The Hornets are also on the second night of a back to back, with all starters playing till the last whistle.

I'm expecting more missed shots from the Hornets tonight and if the Celtics hope to win this game, they'll need their top rebounder to be exactly that.

reed sheppard

Reed Sheppard o23.5 PRA (-105) | Lucky Rebel

The Houston Rockets are 11-4 with Reed Sheppard in the starting lineup this year. He's averaging 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in these games playing just under 32 minutes per game.

In the month of March, Sheppard averaged 13.7 shot attempts per game and 9.0 of those are coming from beyond the arc. The New Orleans Pelicans rank 26th in opponent 3s made, 25th in points allowed, 24th in rebounds allowed and assists allowed.

The team has not been good defensively and the Rockets can't afford to keep losing games. I'm expecting a ton of volume from Sheppard tonight, especially with the fact he's taken 10+ 3-point attempts twice this year against the Pelicans.

Donovan Clingan

Donovan Clingan o13.5 Rebounds (-110) | Lucky Rebel

This line is incredibly high and still somehow continues to climb. Donovan Clingan of the Portland Trailblazers has been a menace on the glass.

Clingan leads the league in offensive rebounds per game, he's top three in rebounds per game and he's the only player in the top 10 averaging fewer than 29 minutes per game. Clingan also has the most total rebounds in the NBA this season (828) and he's only in his second year.

Last time Clingan played the Washington Wizards he grabbed more offensive rebounds (13) than he did defensive rebounds (7). He finished the game with 14 points, 20 rebounds and the Trailblazers lost by four points.

Usually such a big spread would keep me from betting this, but the Wizards have just been so bad. They rank 30th in opponent offensive rebound rate and 30th in rebounds allowed. They just haven't done a good job clearing the glass this year and Clingan should be able to take advantage.
