Cooper Flagg o36.5 PRA (-104) | Lucky Rebel
The Rookie of the Year race is heating up and it feels like every night we get another big time performance from one of the two. Last night we saw Kon Knueppel score 26 points, grab 11 board and dish out 8 assists in a big time win over the New York Knicks.
Knueppel became the only player age 22 or younger to hit 250 3-pointers in season and the Hornets still have nine games left on the schedule. This was right after Cooper Flagg had 26/8/7 on the road against the Denver Nuggets and almost got the win.
The Dallas Mavericks have now lost five games in a row and tonight they fave a Portland Trailblazers team that's won 7 of their last 10 games. Flagg and the Mavericks have just nine games left to make his case for Rookie of the Year and it looks like they're going for it.
Flagg's played 33.9 minutes per game in his last 10 but he's also played 40+ minutes in two of his last three games. He's seen his usage rate jump almost 3-points to 27.2% and he's taking 17.1 shot attempts per game. Flagg's 3-point shooting has been bad recently but the Trailblazers rank 20th in 3s allowed and opponent 3-point percentage.
The Rookie of the Year race is crazy right now and with these guys being former teammates and real life friends; I get the feeling Coop's gonna go for it.

Andrew Nembhard o26.5 PRA (-105) | Lucky Rebel
One narrative you'll hear a ton about today is Ben Mathurin returning to face his old team, the Indiana Pacers. Mathurin was drafted by the Pacers in 2022, he played 259 games for Indy and just went to the NBA Finals with this team less than a year ago. With all the history, I love the angle, but I'm going to pivot.
Andrew Nembhard was drafted the same year as Ben, taken just one round later. Nembhard's now played 303 games with the Pacers, starting in 270 of those games and despite a down year for Indiana; he's putting up career high numbers.
Nembhard's averaging 17.1 points per game this year to go along with 7.6 assists per game. He's shooting 44.4% from the field and 36.4% from three. The Pacers being a tanking season hasn't helped but Nembhard's playing at a high level when he's out there on the court.
The Canadian's coming off a career-high 19 assists against the Lakers on Wednesday and tonight he gets the other team from Los Angeles. The Pacers are very obviously tanking, but every once in a while they bring out their starters and have a little fun.
Nembhard's played over 30 minutes in three of his last four games and tonight's game feels like it should be close. Nembhard's cleared this line in 65% of games this year where he plays at least 30 minutes and in 15 of his last 20 with 30+ minutes (75%).
Lastly, both Nembhard and Mathurin are Canadian kids that play together on Team Canada. As much as this is a reunion for the former teammates, it's just as much an opportunity to compete. Look for Nemby's energy to match.

Darius Garland o28.5 PRA (-115) | Lucky Rebel
Keeping it in the exact same game for a moment, let's talk about Darius Garland. Garland's been great for the Clippers; averaging 21.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game for his new team. He's now played in 11 games for the Clippers and he's shooting 50.6% from the field since coming to Hollywood.
Garland's had a ton of experience against the Pacers, having played in the Central Division for nearly his entire career. He's scored 20+ points in 4 of his last 5 games against the Pacers and the lone miss was his second game since coming to LA and he was still coming off the bench.
Garland played just 24 minutes in a 23-point win, scored 12points and shot 50% from the field and beyond the arc. He had 8 assists in that game and finished the night as a +20 on the floor.
The Clipper's offensive rating with Garland on the floor jumps to 126.7 and the team's defensive rating even gets better (111.2). With both Kawhi and Garland on the floor, the team's net rating jumps to 19.2 wih an offensive rating 129.9. That's significantly better than the 125.1 mark Kawhi had with James Harden.
Garland's been huge for this offense and tonight in what I think should be a close game, I'm expecting a big night. He's cleared this line in all five games he's played 30+ minutes and he's averaging 27.6 points per game in these games and 8.2 assists per game.
