We are in for a good one tonight in the City of Angels as the Lakers look to continue to climb in the West and further solidify their place in the playoffs.
The Lakers are 6-4 in their last 10 games and have climbed into 9th in the West and have done it without LeBron James.
Anthony Davis and D'Angelo Russell have been fantastic to lead the Lakers and carry them in this stretch with the King sidelined.
Davis didn't suit up in the Lakers last loss to the Rockets, and gets a chance to dominate the Mavericks tonight, at home, and I think he does.
But more on that in a bit so keep reading 😉
As for the Mavericks, it is looking like Dallas will be without Luka Doncic yet again tonight but he is likely to return Monday from his thigh injury.
As for Kyrie Irving, he participated in shoot around just minutes ago as of this writing but his status for this game won't be known until pre-game.
That obviously makes this game harder to read, as Kyrie's involvement would make a difference for this Mavericks team.
They have hit a bit of a skid and are 4-6 in their last 10 so a win tonight in LA would be massive.
But Kyrie or not, I don't think they get it tonight.
I love the Lakers in this matchup, especially with a fresh Davis and a hot D'Angelo Russell. I think the Lakers come out firing and get the job done at home and cover the spread.

I love this matchup for the big man tonight. Davis has 28+ points in 6 of his last 8 games.
Davis had 30 points when the Lakers beat the Mavericks at the end of February and that was with LeBron in the lineup.
The Mavericks allow the 2nd highest field goal percentage to Centers and Davis is a big matchup problem for the Mavs.
The Lakers will exploit it all night long and Davis will lead the Lakers to a big win at home.
