The Lakers and Timberwolves are separated by a half of a game in the West and are both fighting for their playoff lives to make the play-in game.

Target Center is going to be bumping on this Friday night as both of these teams need a big win to further solidify their place in the playoffs.
The Lakers are currently 9th, a half game back from the 8th place Wolves and 2.5 games back from the 6th place Warriors.
LeBron James has returned just in time to help lead the Lakers down the stretch and possibly secure a playoff birth.
The Lakers picked up a big win in Chicago last game against the pesky Bulls, 121-110, and will look to make it 2 in a row tonight in Minneapolis.
The Timberwolves have other ideas.
The Wolves have also made a late season push, on the back of Anthony Edwards and now returning Karl Anthony-Towns.
Tonight, in what should be battle from the opening tip, I am going to ride with the Lakers to get the job done on the road.
I will take the points but I think LeBron James, Anthony Davis and company do enough keep this one tight and maybe even steal the win.
