Lakers vs Sixers Prediction & Player Props: Friday Night Stars Shine Bright

Sweatpants Jesus

Anthony Davis, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers travel to the city of brotherly love to take Joel Embiid, James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Lakers have been playing much better basketball since their slow start to the season.

They lost their last game to the Raptors in Toronto, 126-113 and lost to the Cavaliers three nights ago, a night when Anthony Davis had the flu and only played 8 minutes.

Missing Davis proved to be too much of a hill to climb, as the Cavs pulled away late and won 116-102.

The Lakers get the Sixers tonight and it looks like Davis will be back tonight and should play a full compliment of minutes, which is great news for the Lakers.

Davis has been sensational the past month and they will need it tonight against Embiid and the Sixers.

The Sixers are 12-12 but have been without Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey for most of the past month.

Embiid and Harden are back and will be geared up for a battle with LeBron and AD.

In this star-studded Friday Night shootout, who will come out on top?

Prediction

I am sure that Anthony Davis is feeling much better than he did 2 days ago when he has knocked out by the flu.

But I am sure he is not 100% and that is bad news for the Lakers here.

Joel Embiid is looking like the MVP from years past and I expect him to take over tonight at home.

Give me Joel and Harden to run the show and get a big win at home against LeBron and Co.

Best Bet

76ers -4.5 (-114)

Prop of the Game

Tobias Harris o17.5 pts (-113)

I mentioned earlier that I loved Embiid to have a great game and I think he does.

But his points are very high at 30.5 so I am going to look elsewhere.

Look no further than Harris, who has been the Sixers most consistent threat to start the season.

Harris carried the Sixers when Harden and Embiid were out to start the year, and his scoring hasn’t fallen off since they have come back.

He has hit his points in 7 of his last 8 games, with 6 of those being 20+ point performances.

I love Harris to continue to be a big part of this offense tonight and have another 20 point showing.

Bonus:

Harris 20+ (+145)
