Game 1 was a slugfest in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, as the Knicks were able to steal the opening game on the road in dramatic fashion, 101-97.
Jalen Brunson was sensational once again, with 27 points and huge buckets down the stretch to lead the Knicks to a massive win to start the series.
Josh Hart was also fantastic, dropping 19 points, 10 rebounds, and hitting a dagger 3 in the last 2 minutes.
Hart was a spark plug for the Knicks in Game 1 but he rolled his ankle late in the game and it is looking like he will have to miss this game tonight.
Missing Hart will be a big blow for New York, from an energy standpoint but also, on the defensive end and dealing with Donovan Mitchell.
Even in the loss, Mitchell was sensational, scoring 38 points as his hot streak continues. Mitchell was 14-30 from the field and hit 6 3 pointers to help the Cavaliers almost come from behind.
Tonight, Mitchell will have a chance to be huge once again and lead the Cavaliers in a game that feels like a must-win.
I think the Cavaliers get the job done at home, to even the series before their trip to Madison Square Garden, but it will be tight once again.
Give me the Knicks to cover and it be a hard fought game. Missing Hart will be a blow for the Knicks but they are tough and will hang around all night long.
