Butler carried the Heat yet again to continue their surprise post season run, to the tune of 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
He did roll his ankle late in game 1, however, and his status is questionable for Game 2 and he has been deemed a Game Time Decision. It is worth noting that as of this writing, he just participated in shoot around so things seem to be trending in the right direction for the Heat's main man.
Status alert: Jimmy Butler (ankle) participated in shootaround Tuesday.
There is a similar situation on the other side of the court as the Knicks could possibly be without Power Forward Julius Randle yet again tonight but also, might be without star Point Guard Jalen Brunson as well.
Jalen Brunson (sore right ankle) and Julius Randle (sprained left ankle) are questionable for Game 2.
From reports, it is trending towards Brunson playing and Randle sitting once again, but this is worth monitoring as the day continues so stay up to date on our Twitter page.
If Brunson can go tonight, the Knicks will need a similar performance from the talented guard to level the series, but most importantly, they just simply have to shoot better.
The Knicks were 7-34 from 3 in game 1, a paltry 20.6%.
That can't happen again and I don't think it will.
Best Bet
A lot about this game is up in the air right now so it is tough to cap the best side to take so rather than taking a side, I am going to take the over.
Like I mentioned, the Knicks shot terribly in Game 1, especially from deep and the Game still went over.
The Heat didn't shoot much better, only 33% from down town and the game STILL WENT OVER.
I think we see shots falling tonight and this game soars over the total. I lean with the Knicks to level the series but if Butler plays, I just can't comfortably bet against Jimmy right now.
