The Celtics are searching for their sixth win in a row following a 124-107 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Bucks are coming off a 122-109 loss to the New York Knicks, marking their fifth consecutive defeat.
Will Boston continue to build momentum ahead of the playoffs? Or will Milwaukee finally break the curse tonight?
Let's discuss those questions (and more) by getting into my Celtics vs. Bucks NBA predictions and best bets.

Celtics vs Bucks Predictions & NBA Picks Today (4/9): Milwaukee Hits Panic Button
All eyes are on the Bucks tonight to see if they can break out of their latest funk. They haven't exactly looked like championship contenders lately, going 1-6 SU across their last seven while losing four straight outings ahead of tonight's tilt.
To put things into perspective, the Bucks' 14.3% winning percentage since March 26 is tied for second-worst in the NBA. Lackluster offensive performances have been key reasons behind those struggles as they rank 19th in points, 25th in field-goal percentage, and 30th in three-point percentage during that stretch.
In fact, Milwaukee lost its last four games by an average of 8.8 points per outing.
On the flip side, the Celtics boast a league-best 86.2% winning percentage since Feb. 4. They're one of the top teams in most statistics over the last two months, which includes leading the NBA in points, threes made, and three-point percentage.
The Celtics have been the NBA's team to beat throughout the 2023-24 campaign, and the last month is an example of that.
The Celtics have also won two of their three previous matchups against the Bucks this season. At the same time, it's worth noting that it was Milwaukee that tallied a 135-102 victory in the sole clash at Fiserv Forum.
Still, Boston has had the opposition's number more often than not, winning six of the last eight meetings between these teams. The Celtics are also 15-5 ATS in their 20 previous clashes with the Bucks and have covered the spread in all but one of their last 10 trips to Fiserv Forum.
And even though the C's are only 4-4-1 ATS in their last nine outings, the Bucks are 1-6 ATS in their last seven.
The Celtics' injury report is late tonight as Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) and Al Horford (toe) are both questionable.
Meanwhile, the Bucks might not have Giannis Antetokounmpo, who's questionable with a hamstring issue. Patrick Beverley (ankle) and Khris Middleton (quad) are probable to suit up while MarJon Beauchamp (ankle) has been ruled out.
The Bucks will face an uphill battle if Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) can't play vs. the Celtics.
It's hard to imagine anyone slowing them down, so let's take the Celtics to win tonight. They've already beaten the Bucks twice this season while owning a 75.0% success rate against them over the last two years. Milwaukee is also playing terribly at the moment and will struggle to come back if Boston gets off to a strong start.
With that in mind, let's also take the Celtics to cover. We've already discussed Boston's recent spread success against Milwaukee and I don't see Joe Mazzulla's team struggling to win by three or more points. After all, the Celtics own an NBA-leading plus-8.0 average scoring margin on the road this season.

Even though he's failed to hit the Over in his last two outings, I can't doubt Tatum tonight. The bigger picture highlights his consistency as he's averaging 27.9 points on .458/.402/.860 splits across his last 13 games, finishing with the Over 10 times. He's also finished with 25-plus points in eight of his last nine road outings while averaging a 29.4 PPG clip.
If that isn't convincing enough, the Over is also 6-3 in Tatum's nine previous meetings with the Bucks — including when he racked up 31 points on March 20.
Best Celtics vs Bucks Prop Bet: Jayson Tatum o24.5 Total Points (-114)
