We are in for a Eastern conference treat in the middle of the 6 game NBA slate tonight.
The Cavaliers are on fire right now, winners of 8 of their last 10 games and 4 straight games.
Cleveland is currently 4th in the East but only 1.5 games separate themselves and the Philadelphia 76ers for 3rd place.
It is all left to play for in the last two weeks of the regular season and this Cavaliers team seems to be getting hot at just the right time.
Tonight in Atlanta, they will have to take down the Hawks, who are in need of some important wins down the stretch as well, as they look to solidify their playoff birth and possibly miss out on a play-in game.
The Hawks currently sit 8th but are 3 games back from the 6th place Nets. A few big wins and the Hawks are in the drivers seat to miss the play-in.
A few loses, however and Atlanta could be on the outside looking in and miss the playoffs completely.
Only 1 game separate the Hawks and the 10th place Bulls so every win is paramount right now and that continues tonight.
State Farm Arena will have a playoff atmosphere tonight and rather than going with a side in this pick 'em game, I am going to ride with the under.
I know the last matchup in Atlanta in February between these two teams went over, and taking Hawks unders is like playing with fire, but I am ready to sweat.
The Cavaliers haven't gone over a Total this high in 5 straight games and while the Hawks are capable of scoring and love to run, I think the Cavaliers slow the pace tonight and keep things tight all night long.
