The top of the Eastern conference is getting tight as we head into the home stretch of the NBA season and both of these teams are right in the thick of it.

The Sixers currently sit 3rd and are 1 game back from the 2nd Place Boston Celtics and 4 games back from the top dog Milwaukee Bucks.

The Sixers are riding a 5 game winning streak and are 7-3 in their last 10, looking to continue to push towards threatening the Bucks for the top spot in the East.

The Cavaliers are also right there in the mix but with a bit more work to do to climb their way into the top 3.

A win tonight would help that cause greatly and send a big message.

The Cavs are sitting 4th, 3 games back from the Sixers and 7 games back from the top seed Bucks.

If the Cavs want a chance to try and leapfrog the Sixers in the home stretch of the regular season, a win tonight is imperative.

The season series is split 1-1 so far, with both home teams picking up the wins. Tonight, I think that trend doesn’t come to pass.
